Upside-Down History

Faced with serious failures and embarrassments within their own midst, the US establishment has been busy coming up with new lies and accusations against others to escape culpability and scrutiny.

Recently, it has been turning history upside-down by accusing Russia of paying money to the Taliban to kill US forces. It has also been trying to accuse Russian President Vladimir Putin of ‘rehabilitating’ the image of Joseph Stalin.

It is a pathetic and ignorant attempt to superimpose the image of Stalinist Russia onto Russia today. This is done to paint Russia as evil, and justify acts of sedition, and justify foreign interference and regime change.

The exposure of US failures and its own distasteful past, as well as Russia’s recent constitutional referendum which saw a US-imposed constitution annulled and replaced by an all-Russian version, free of foreign-imposed limitations, certainly could have something to do with these recent false accusations.

Both these absurd claims are done from spite and desperation.

Since May, the US has been racked with protests which have shown the ugly face of US society, and its bloody and abhorrent history.

Numerous monuments to slave traders, imperialists, colonizers and other persons of dubious merit have been toppled. This has exposed those so-called ‘heroes’ for what they really were, and undermined a sacrosanct niche of the US propaganda myth. People all over the world are noticing and asking questions.

Faced with embarrassment, the desperate US establishment is countering with lies and false accusations against others.

The evidence-free accusation that Russia is paying the Taliban to kill US soldiers rings particularly hollow and hypocritical when one takes into account the sordid history of the US in backing the Taliban movement since the late 1970s.

Ronald Reagan meeting with the Afghan Taliban in the White House

It was the US, together with its Pakistani, Saudi, Israeli, and assorted European buddies that supported, armed, trained, encouraged and PAID the Afghan Mujahideen - who later made up the nucleus of the Taliban and Al Qaeda – to kill Soviet troops in the 1980s.

It was the US and its buddies who, after the Soviets withdrew, allowed the Taliban to fester and gain strength.

It was the US who gave billions of dollars in 'aid' to the Pakistani ISI to fight terrorism, but the money ended up supporting the Taliban and pro-Taliban sympathizers in Pakistani intelligence and the military.

It was the US that invaded Afghanistan in 2001 and put its troops in harm’s way.

It is the US that insists on keeping them there, making them a daily target.

No. It wasn’t the Russians who paid the Taliban to kill US troops.

It was the US who paid the Taliban to kill US troops, and still does! And no one deserves this blame more than the US itself!

As for accusing Russia and Putin of rehabilitating Stalin, read this article, especially the last paragraph:

So, what is Russia’s situation today? Well, NATO has expanded its membership to include every former member state of the Warsaw Pact, not to mention former republics of the USSR, promised membership to Ukraine and Georgia, and conducted almost daily military exercises in the Baltic and Black Seas. The United States has walked away from the Anti-Ballistic Missiles, Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces and Open Skies treaties. And there is a constant barrage of anti-Russian propaganda emanating from many Western capitals. With all that in mind, perhaps it isn’t surprising that Russians, while they certainly don’t want Stalin back, look with admiration and respect upon a leader who protected them from foreign aggressors.1

So, yes. Not only is the US ultimately responsible for the Taliban killing US soldiers in Afghanistan, but because of its anti-Russian antics the US is also responsible for any sympathy for Stalin within Russia today.

The US has been turning history, reality and facts upside down for years. It has also been projecting its own sins and crimes onto others.

The US has been the best agent of its own destruction.

But turning history upside-down is not going to exonerate anyone in the US regime, past and present.

The jig is up. The US will now have to answer for its historical faults and lies, and it is being exposed by its own public.

And the more lies it pushes, the more it will be hated.
