'Bad Commies' vs. 'Good' Capitalists

Because of the events in the Ukraine, there has been a lot of propaganda swill churned out against Russia in the west, their supposed still-communist government, led by Stalin v2.0 named Vladimir Putin.

It’s no secret that US foreign and economic policies are dismal failures. Those failures, along with the international debacles and embarrassments that the US has racked up, have led it to absurd levels of political, public, and historical manipulation and lies in order to cover up its failures, gross incompetence, and plain scumbag-ness.

One of the most recent and enduring propaganda tools is to suggest that Russia is a crypto-communist state where nothing has changed, and is still being led by Joseph Stalin clones. Russia’s communist past is constantly brought up as a PR cudgel against that country. The past crimes of Soviet communists are superimposed on alleged crimes of Russia under its current leadership.

On TV channels, Sunday morning talk shows, debates, newspapers and blogs, all sorts of communist crimes are being rehashed in order to demonize Russia because it doesn’t want to be a slave of the US/EU.

So today I’ll list some accusations against communist governments and then find an instance of the same behavior in the US/west.


Accusation#1 – Communist governments killed a lot of people!

This is the main gripe people have with communism. It’s not an unfounded accusation, but is being used selectively, and more often than not exaggerated. First, name me a revolution where the new regime didn’t persecute/kill off the members/sympathizers of the prior one. There aren’t any. It’s just part and parcel of victors’ justice.

Second, and more importantly, people should look at all the violent revolutionary right-wing juntas the US trained, armed, and brought to power in Latin America, Asia and the Mideast; juntas who ruled by terror, who massacred people, disappeared them, tortured, raped. The US then protected members of these regimes from accountability and prosecution. Some members of those regimes still live comfortably in sunny Florida and elsewhere in the US—Orlando Bosch, the terrorist who bombed a Cuban civilian airliner, then found refuge in the US, is a good example.

Another example is the US revolutionary war and its aftermath. That revolution certainly wasn’t peaceful. Afterwards, half a million people fled themselves, or were told to leave by the new regime. Thousands who stayed, but didn’t see eye-to-eye with the new post-colonial authorities were imprisoned, tortured, and killed. This is something they won’t teach in US history class.

The US/EU has been supporting and coddling the Israeli regime for sixty-plus years. They have underwritten one of the longest-running, brutal, racist, and oppressive neo-colonial occupations in the history of the world.  Yet the US and their pals have the nerve to point a finger at Russia for annexing Crimea, a territory that historically was (and by popular referendum wants to be) part of Russia, and which in the past was attached to Ukraine without any approval by anyone living there at the time.

Accusation#2 – Communists overthrew democratically-elected governments and invaded countries!

From 1917, the US and certain western countries tried to interfere in Russia’s internal revolution by sponsoring anti-Bolshevik armies. Winston Churchill once remarked that ‘communism must be strangled in its crib.’ During Italy’s first democratic election after WW2, the US organized a huge propaganda campaign against the socialist party. People were flooded with propaganda and fake threats that the Italian socialists were under Stalin’s direct control; that if they come to power churches will be shut down and religion outlawed, that Soviet troops will occupy Italy.

Italy was threatened by the US that if it didn’t vote the right way, US aid would be cut off, and sanctions would follow. This same threat was used repeatedly later on in other countries where a leader or government not to the US liking won, or was projected to win a popular election.

After the end of communism in Eastern Europe, the US used the threat of withholding aid unless the people in those countries elected governments who were not socialist/communist, even though such parties had majority support. Early 1990s Bulgaria is one of those cases.

In 2006 Hamas won the Palestinian elections, fair and square. The US didn’t like this outcome. It refused to recognize the results, and cut off aid to the Palestinians. Along with Israel, it effectively put the West Bank and Gaza on military, diplomatic, financial, and political lockdown.

In 2009 Manuel Zelaya, the democratically-elected president of Honduras was overthrown by a pro-US coup with the US providing behind the scenes assistance because he wanted to usher in reforms that the US and its corporate allies didn’t like.

And of course, we have the Ukraine, a country which until February 2014 had a democratically-elected government. But since that government didn’t want to take orders from the US, it was overthrown by a pro-US unelected junta which has gone on to threaten half the country, launch a violent war against its own people, and most likely was complicit in the killing of 300+ people when its fighter jet shot down Malaysian flight MH17. Yes, that previous democratically-elected government was corrupt, but since the current one is as well, and add to that criminally insane, the corruption charge was just PR bullshit.

Also, former Eastern European countries never fail to forget and remind everyone that they were invaded by Russia, and how the Russians illegally seized power in Eastern European countries. Then why did those same countries join the illegal US invasion of Iraq? Why did they aid and abet the US in bombing Libya and Syria in order to overthrow the governments there? By doing so, they were acting no worse than the so-called Soviet invaders.

Finally, what democratic governments did the Soviets overthrow? Poland—a politically unstable country ruled by army colonels, or Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Hungary—all ruled by monarchs or puppets sympathetic to Nazi Germany, and whose territory and soldiers were used against Russia? 

Western governments, and especially the US, have setup and funded pro-democracy NGOs in Russia and elsewhere. On the surface, the mission of these organizations is to promote democratic principles and good civil society. But in reality, those organizations have acted as intelligence-gathering/political activist fronts for their foreign government sponsors. 

These organizations have constantly interfered in domestic politics and elections in other countries, have organized protests against governments and politicians whom the western governments found unreceptive to their dictates and orders, and who didn't want to put western economic/political/strategic interests first. These organizations also funded and trained subversive protest groups to undermine host governments not to the liking of western governments, especially that of the US. They've also supported/funded pro-western candidates for elections. All these acts are in violation of international laws and a blatant interference in a nation's internal affairs.

Russia certainly doesn't interfere in the US elections, or funds pro-Russian subversive organizations masquerading as democracy promoters in the US, whose aim is to elect pro-Russian politicians and enact pro-Russian policies.

President Putin, finally fed up with this nonsense, showed these NGOs the door. That's one of the reasons he's being vilified and demonized in the west as a dictator. Ironcially, the US has the same laws against foreign-sponsored NGOs operating on US soil. All NGOs who are funded in any part by a foreign government or act on behalf of a foreign government must register as 'agents of a foreign power,' (except israhell, of course). But when Putin passes such laws, he's labeled as a dictator who is destroying democracy.

But how would citizens of the US, or some other western country feel if the Kremlin setup Russian NGOs within their borders which meddled in those nations' internal affairs, national elections, and manipulated public opinion in favor of pro-Russian candidates and policies, and sponsored/encouraged protests and political unrest? Would western countries allow this? Would they not kick out these Russian subversives?

Accusation#3 – Communism ruined countries’ economies!

What most people don’t seem to know is that the socialist/communist ideology alone wasn’t enough to ruin any economy. Whenever a communist country popped up, the first move western countries, especially the US made, was to immediately sanction it. This was followed up with creating deliberate roadblocks in order to hamper any socialist country’s development. Sabotage, acts of economic terrorism followed. Blockades and bans, such as the one currently still in effect against Cuba, has cost socialist countries hundreds of billions of dollars in lost revenue and opportunities for development and modernization. This led to shortages of revenue, and eventually to the lack of basic goods and services.

Another nasty tool the west used were loans to socialist/communist states with exorbitant interest rates. In some instances, they refused loans and forced countries to seek loans from private banks which charged loan-shark rates as well. All these tricks were used to impoverish and debilitate socialist/communist countries, cause misery and chaos, and finally regime change--the main goal of the rough treatment.

We will never know how socialist countries would’ve turned out if they weren’t deliberately sanctioned and had their economies hampered and sabotaged by US and their allies. We will never know how things would’ve turned out if socialist countries were left alone and allowed to pursue their own way, without being molested by the US and its bought whores.

And what exactly has wonderful US-style capitalism done in the last six years? Did it not con the world into fake and risky investments which crashed the world economy and bankrupted countries? How many people lost their retirement benefits and pensions because of this? How many countries were forced to swallow massive amounts of IMF debt which they cannot repay, and were forced to sell of valuable public-owned enterprises to the lowest bidder when they couldn’t pay off those loans? Countries which were promised wealth and prosperity if they adopted democracy and the free market system are still languishing in debt, unemployment and hardship, decades later! Add to that the fact that many older people in formerly communist/socialist countries yearn for the old system. What does that tell you?

Accusation#4 – In communist countries there’s no free speech and the press is censored!

Newsflash! Media censorship exists in every country.

What are we to think when journalists in the US and other democratic countries are forced, under threat of arrest, to name their confidential sources of information if the US government doesn’t like what they wrote? What about the journalists that are muzzled and fired for presenting a view that the US government, an allied country’s authorities, or a private interest close to the government doesn’t like? All these things have, and are, happening in the US and the west.

What about the fact that major US newspapers, including the New York Times have, up to the present, printed US government propaganda without any fact-checking or research whatsoever? Iraqi WMDs, Libya, Ukraine are just a few examples where US and other western governments have deliberately manipulated public opinion in their favor by releasing fake and unsubstantiated news stories.

Recently, a German journalist admitted that the US and its European allies wrote propaganda stories which were pro-US, then handed these stories to journalists to be published under their names with no fact-checking or research whatsoever. These stories were blatantly false. Those journalists were beforehand bribed with money and other favors to get them to act as propaganda bullhorns for the US. From these sources we got the standard anti-Russian fare that has been all the rage in the US and European media lately. These false news stories today influence the world-view of the average US/EU citizen. They create a false reality which could very well lead to more misunderstanding, and possibly more death and violence in the future.

Great Britain has deliberately blocked journalist Glenn Greenwald, who published the Snowden revelations, and his partner from flying, detained them at airports, confiscated their equipment, and threatened them. No charges, no due process, nothing; just detention without any specific reason for hours or days.

In communist countries, the government censored the media. In the US and other democratic countries the media censors itself willingly in return for access to, and favors from, their governments.

Accusation#5 – In communist countries, there’s no freedom of religion!

Communist governments saw religion as reactionary because the religious organizations traditionally allied themselves with the wealthy elites in the country. Religious organizations benefited from this arrangement, which also made religious organizations naturally anti-communist, especially in Europe.

When communism was established in any country, the authorities tried to root out any defiant clerics who openly sympathized with the old regimes or who agitated against the new one. Although the same has happened in pro-US dictatorships as well.

Later on, the church was told that as long as it didn’t get political, and didn’t use its position to preach against the system, it would be left alone. This arrangement held, and priests were even given monetary stipends by the communist governments in order to keep them quiet. Some priests even went so far as to become informers for the state.

Generally, as long as the church stayed out of politics and didn’t preach sedition, they were left alone by the communist authorities. I’m sure this rule also applies to churches in democratic countries as well.

During the cold war, the US along with other western democratic countries, used the churches in Eastern Europe to disseminate anti-communist views and propaganda. This would’ve explained the harsh measures taken against the church by communist governments. How would the US government feel if Russia or China secretly used churches in the US to spread anti -government views and sedition?

Hypocritically, the US encouraged the church in communist countries to be political, something the US government would’ve never allowed on its own soil or on that of their allies. If they did so, they’d at least lose their tax-exempt status, and at most be arrested.

Also, during the Bush years, we saw the US government use popular preachers to sell its pro-war and other conservative policies in return for access to the White House and other hand-outs from the government, like George W. Bush’s granting of money to religious organizations for charity work.

As for religious freedom in the west, how much discrimination was encountered by immigrants to the US who weren’t Protestant? Catholics were discriminated against heavily because they were feared to be more loyal to the Pope than the US.

Look at the instances of discrimination against Muslims in the US and Europe, like the banning of headscarves, protests against the construction of mosques, vandalism of mosques, and accusing Muslims of being involved in a US-wide conspiracy to force Sharia law upon the country.

This foolishness even led to a congressional hearing chaired by the ignorant Peter King on the Islamization of America. He gathered all sorts of Christian fundamentalist, neo-con, and Jewish-zionist kooks and bigots, as well as 'experts' who terrorized the naïve public with scary stories, supposed evidence, and horrific predictions on how Muslims aim to turn the US into an Islamic country by force.

This has led to attacks against Muslims, both verbal and physical. It has also led to undercover FBI agents being placed in mosques all over the US to eavesdrop and inform on the doings of Muslims.

Accusation#6 – Communist regimes imprisoned and tortured dissidents, locked them up in camps or kicked them out of the country!

Violent right-wing governments worldwide sponsored and aided by the US did the same. US allies also did the same. Look at the secret rendition flights the CIA flew to Eastern European countries like Poland, Lithuania and others, where terror suspects were tortured, with disregard for human rights laws. Guantanamo Bay is still open; a place where prisoners were water-boarded, tortured and treated like garbage--and still are. Bagram air base in Afghanistan, and Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq are examples of US love of torture and extreme interrogation techniques used on enemies.

As far as jailing and persecuting dissidents, look at what was done to Bradley Manning for revealing US war crimes in Iraq. Look at Edward Snowden’s predicament. (ironically, it’s Russia who offered Snowden refuge and a new life) Look at the treatment Julian Assange has been subject to; all three people have one thing in common: they exposed US deception and crimes, nothing else. Dear US allies have behaved just as bad. Poland was not too long ago fined 235,000 Euros in compensation to the two terror suspects tortured on its soil.

But we can even go father back in time. The treatment of Edward Snowden and others is reminiscent of Philip Agee, who in the 1970s published a book about CIA operations and named names. For these revelations he was hounded and expelled from multiple democratic western European countries, under pressure and orders of the US, of course.

Accusation#7– The Soviet Union was imperialist!

And what was Great Britain? What was Turkey? Japan? What was/is the US if not imperialist? An Imperialist country is one which conquers, controls, and exploits other nations, near and far. By this simple definition, the US is an imperialist nation. Look at Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the various micro-stans of the Pacific. In the past, the US subdued and controlled the Philippines and Cuba. It also overthrew and controlled through friendly puppets Latin American governments.

The Soviet Union never sought to conquer and subdue countries beyond its immediate periphery. Surrounded by hostile neighbors, the Russians tried to retain as much control over nearby countries to serve as a buffer zone between them and their enemies. That’s why the Soviets setup Moscow-friendly governments in Eastern Europe after WW2. Some of those countries served as bases and highways for foreign invaders, and the Soviets wanted to shut those bases and highways down. This is not the same as taking over a country just to exploit its resources as did the British and French in India and the far east.

So those who insist that past Soviet political, military, and economic influence over Eastern European countries made the Soviet Union imperialist, then the present US political, military, and economic influence over Eastern European countries makes the US an imperialist country as well.

Accusation#8 – Communist countries were militarized and kept people from traveling freely!

Okay. So if you’re an American, try to travel to Cuba, Iran or North Korea, and see how free you really are. One thing that truly free and democratic countries don’t do is ban/forbid their citizens from traveling to any country, even if that country is authoritarian or even an enemy. The most the US or any other country can do, is advise or warn people who want to travel to those countries about the risks, but nothing beyond that. Democratic countries certainly don't threaten or punish their citizens for traveling to any country. But if the US allows its citizens to freely travel to Saudi Arabia, a country ruled by probably the most nastiest and repressive government there is, then it’s truly beyond me why Cuba and Iran, who are way more moderate, are on the no-go list. Could it have something to do with the fact that those two countries don’t want to kiss US ass? Nah . . .

Tell all those people who mistakenly found themselves on the terrorist no-fly list how free they feel. These people are effectively trapped within the US, unable to leave.

As for being militarized, it was the US which started the arms race which helped bankrupt the Soviet Union, and now seems to be bankrupting itself. As for militarization, look at what has been going on in the US since 9/11. The military budget has grown to record heights, the over-glorification of the military is sickening. In elementary, middle and high schools, ROTC drones and military recruiters swarm the campuses. Yellow ribbons, military recruiting commercials, shows and movies glorifying military operations are all part-and-parcel of a militarized society. Military parades and salutes at ball games and other public gatherings are everywhere.

The US is the biggest weapons dealer in the world. It causes crises and tensions and creates fake enemies and straw men in order to scare and force unsuspecting dupes worldwide to buy US-made weaponry; weaponry they don’t need and damn well can’t afford. All the while social programs are cut, austerity measures enacted so that a country can pay for useless and over-the-top weaponry they don’t need; all so they can prove what faithful and good US allies they are!

Add to that the bad habit of the US deploying its military everywhere as ‘help,’ but in reality it’s just a racket to inject US firepower and influence into a part of the world in order to exploit a natural resource, setup a strategically-located base, or push out foreign competitors (As is happening in Africa currently where US wants to push out Chinese investments). Makes you wonder about that whole Ebola scare, doesn't it?

The US is also in the process of militarizing its allies, and remilitarizing Germany and Japan, who up until now were obligated by treaty to have only a peace time army. The US, seeking to exploit these nations’ military power, and budgets, is prodding and enticing them into a militarist mindset. It does so by provoking both Russia and North Korea and other hapless countries. It uses those countries’ responses, which are sure to be full of anger or at least warning, to scare its allies into arming themselves to the teeth. This process is currently under way in Japan and Germany.

The most ominous part of the militarization of US society is that, unbeknownst to most of the US public, the president can now use the military to apprehend and/or kill anyone anywhere in the world deemed a threat, including US citizens. This has already been done.

For the US/western public, the Berlin wall remains a symbol of the perfidious lengths to which authoritarian communist governments went to to keep their citizens locked up behind the iron curtain.

But the true story of how, and why, the Berlin Wall came to be in 1961 is more nuanced. Western propaganda states that the wall was built to prevent people from East Germany from defecting and fleeing. But in reality, East Germans were free to travel to East Berlin regularly for years. But over time, this led to labor shortages in certain fields because East German-trained professionals went to work for West German companies which paid better.

Also, most of the East German workers didn't defect. They came home at the end of the day back to East Germany. 

Add to that the fact that the free access between East and West Berlin allowed western/US agents to cross into East Germany and cause acts of terrorism and sabotage, the East German authorities got fed up and sealed the border. 

Even US officials quietly admitted that the Berlin Wall made East Germany safer and most likely prevented another war.

Speaking of walls, why hasn't the benevolent and eternally wonderful US/EU done anything to condemn Israel for erecting the apartheid wall inside the West Bank, effectively cutting off Palestinians from their own land and de facto annexing it to Israel.

To this day, Israel hasn't been held accountable for building this wall, which is even worse than the Berlin Wall was. At least the Berlin Wall wasn't used to steal land!

Accusation#9 – Under communism, people were poor. They didn’t have anything!

When the other accusations are explained and debunked, the accuser turns to this one as a last-ditch attempt to exonerate their warped and uninformed worldview.

Yes, in a socialist/communist country foreign consumer goods weren’t plentiful, and certain items were not sold. That’s because socialist/communist governments were concerned with the basic practicalities, and were not materialistic/consumer-oriented societies. But were many of these goods necessary?

The next time you go to the store, look around and ask yourself: how much of the stuff in that store people actually need. What can you do without? I guarantee that the majority of the crap there is either frivolous or just plain useless.

People in capitalist countries have been conditioned to think they need a constant stream of stuff, but in reality, they don’t. A century of psychological manipulation and subtle mental queues that appeal to, and amplify, a person’s most base instincts and insecurities is being used to sell people things they don’t need or that are harmful to them.

Also, people shouldn’t confuse poverty with the absence of consumer goods, or access to them. People in socialist/communist countries had free health care, education, full and permanent employment, and guaranteed retirement and pensions. Sure, they didn’t have glitzy housing and the luxury goods, but is an iPhone, cheese-in-a-can or a Barbie doll really more important than those previously-mentioned benefits?

Many people in western societies, especially in the US, see themselves as poor just because they can’t afford everything that they want. They also assume that people in other countries who don’t have the things Americans have are also poor. This is a sick attitude, and there are people out there with this mentality. It’s also ignorance of other peoples’ cultures and mentalities. Westerners and Americans just can’t fathom the possibility that to other people and cultures, western toys and gadgets are not as important, or seen as wasteful, childish or unnecessary; a view that is actually very astute and correct. The western mind hasn’t evolved to see things this way yet, I guess.

Plus, as I’ve said to my relatives recently, democracy doesn’t equal store shelves full of stuff. There are authoritarian countries with despotic, capitalist free-market true-believer governments where stores are full of all the things you’d see in the US. Capitalism shouldn’t be seen as synonymous with democracy and freedom. Seeing it as such is incorrect. 

Poverty and homelessness in the US and Western Europe is increasing. People are unemployed, and having a harder time providing the basic necessities. On more than one occasion I was approached by people asking me if I can buy them something to eat, here in the good old rich USA!

I’d be willing to bet that there are tons of impoverished people living in capitalist countries throughout the world today for whom the basic amenities that an Eastern European government offered its citizens during the communist years would be the ultimate in luxury!

Ironically, incidents of homelessness in communist countries were rare or non-existent. 

Accusation# 10 - Communist countries were technologically backward!

This is more of a cheap-shot than accusation. 

In the western world, communist countries were looked upon as uncreative, unsophisticated, and primitive as far as technology and innovation went.

But just a cursory glimpse at history shows that this is not true. 

Question: Which country started the space race, launched the first satellite, first rocket, first living organism, first man into space, and conducted the first spacewalk?

Answer: The Soviet Union

Not the US, France, Great Britain or Switzerland.

The Soviet Union's pioneering space exploration and research set the stage for, and inspired, the US space program. It also shook the US enough that they actually started educating their people better in math and science so they could keep up with the Soviets.

Soviet scientists, engineers, and technicians were/are some of the best in the world. By the 1960s the Soviet Union was very close to achieving economic and technological parity with the west.

The US saw this, and got scared. So it started to turn up the heat on the cold war. In the coming decades the US deliberately did everything it could to ruin the Soviet Union's economy. It lured the Soviets into the arms race, which unfortunately led the Soviet government to put an increasing number of brains and muscle power, materials, time, and money into weapons research, development, and manufacture.

This left too few people and resources for civilian development, leading to the lack of consumer goods, and general shoddiness and lack of quality in the ones produced.

Nevertheless, Soviet weaponry was of good design and quality, some of it quite ahead of its time. So obviously human intellect and technical expertise weren't the reasons for the Soviet Union's economic problems.

We'll never know what the Soviets would've achieved if they weren't manipulated by the US/west to squander their efforts on weapons, and instead put most of their ingenuity and resources into the civilian economy.

Even today Russia makes the best rocket engines on earth. They're so good that the US uses them to send its domestic rockets into space. Russia banned the sale of these engines recently to the US because of the sanctions the US passed.

The US also uses the Russian Baikonur space facility, and Russian-built Soyuz rockets to send US astronauts and equipment to the International Space Station.

Even East Germany back in its heyday managed to domestically design and build its own 386 computer.

Of course, we'll never know what further technological advancements the communist countries would've made if left alone to live and develop in peace without being deliberately saddled with ridiculously exorbitant interest rates on loans, sabotage, sanctions, and blockades by the west.

That’s about all that I can come up with, but I’m sure there are other accusations that can be hurled upon communism and socialism. But I’m also sure those accusations can be countered by-comparison. 

Also remember that communism isn't a Russian-created, or Eastern philosophy or system. It is a political/economic philosophy born in the West, and was meant to be applied in the west.

My aim in this essay is not to excuse nor condone acts of violence and inhumanity committed by any regime in any system, past and present.  It’s not to glorify communism/socialism as the only, and best solution, while ignoring its flaws. Doing so would make me no better than the misguided and foolish disciples of capitalism.

What I’m totally sick of and pissed at are the deluded and uninformed ignoramuses out there that see things as black and white. The worst, smelliest, and annoying offenders are those shitheads who can recite communist crimes by rote while holding the USA as a paragon of virtue and goodness who has done no wrong.

Such an attitude doesn’t only show profound ignorance; it’s downright criminal. Such an attitude is a denial and betrayal of all the innocent victims of US warmongering, and that of US-sponsored regimes. Such an attitude is on full display currently in Eastern Ukraine, where the civilians, and their neighborhoods, were shelled with tactical missiles meant to destroy cities by the US/EU supported Kiev regime forces. These people don’t matter to the US and the west. These people are branded as figments of the Kremlin’s imagination; they don’t exist to the US and their vassal governments in Eastern Europe. But yet those victims are real, and they are dead, killed by US and western criminal connivance.

That’s why I don’t get why the current governments in Eastern Europe bow down and listen to every US order and each piece of pathetic and false Russophobic propaganda when there’s so much proof of US criminality all over the world. How can a Polish or a Romania politician think that the US is good while ignoring the death, destruction, and total disregard for democracy the US is guilty of in places like Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Latin America and others? How can these so-called democratic leaders lament past communist atrocities in their countries, yet ignore and deny atrocities committed by the US and their allies? Either these so-called leaders are willfully ignorant or bought off puppets. Either way, they’re also criminally negligent, and can be bought up on war crimes charges if there was any true justice in the world. Hiding behind past victim status while carrying out war crimes, or aiding and abetting other who commit them is just disgusting.

In this age of information, no one can claim that they were uninformed or didn’t know, as the clueless and slimy Hillary Clinton opined when asked about the bad intelligence concerning the imaginary Iraqi weapons of mass destruction.

It must be remembered and taken as holy writ that the US has no friends; it only has subordinates. Anyone who stands in the way of the pursuit of US interests, or aspires to be an equal, is an enemy.  Vladimir Putin found this out the hard way.

Those who submit to US control are rewarded. Those who don’t are punished with sanctions and regime change.

That’s the extent of US democracy and freedom, and of course capitalism.

 

Some Thoughts

I've been studying Putin's behavior, and have come to the conclusion that he's the type of person who is generous and reasonable with all who treat Russia with honesty, respect, and equal consideration; but a clever, unrelenting hard-ass if he sees Russia is getting screwed. 

He's the type of guy who will apply pressure to anyone who wants to mess with Russia, but at the same time always leaves a way open for a  compromise and peaceful resolution. 

This is why he's such a tough nut for the west to crack. He doesn't get stubbornly stuck on one position and flies off the handle with threats and ultimatums, like the dumb US state dept. He simply reciprocates what US/west does. 

By behaving this way, Putin can always claim that it was others who forced him to do what he does, and he'd be 100% right and justified in saying this; and the Russian people in general will agree with him, and his popularity rises.
 
He's one of the smartest and capable leaders in the world right now.

US power rests on the pillars of exploitation, domination, and theft. If the US gave up being an empire, closed down all foreign bases, called it soldiers home, stopped interfering in other countries affairs, stopped stealing from them--in short, act like a normal country and a responsible and civilized member of the international community, then its wealth and power would disappear overnight; bus so would a lot of war and mayhem which was cooked up by the US. 

And that would be a good thing!

Russians know that US is lying and provoking them. That's why whatever the US is planning won't work. Once a liar has been outed, it's over for the liar. US/NATO plans for Russia will only succeed if most Russians buy US propaganda and lies, and they're not.

If US propaganda and lies don't have the desired results, the US sends in goon squads. If that doesn't work, US attacks, but with a nuclear Russia this plan has become permanently stuck on step one.

Dissecting Antisemitism

The Zionist regime’s genocidal massacre of Gaza has elicited a lot of passion and vitriol.

This has resulted in people all over the world condemning Israel and its violence, and rightly so!

It has also elicited a lot of anti-Jewish feeling, which has been condemned as “Antisemitism” by pro-Israeli Jews and their supporters.

But who is responsible for these anti-Jewish feelings? Are they justified? Is criticism of Israel really just a cover for Antisemitism?

Let’s dissect a portion of this whole Antisemitism talk and get an idea of why it’s happening, and who the biggest culprits behind its growth and spread are.

By and large, and quite unfortunately, most Jews worldwide support bad Israeli policies.

There are some brave Jewish voices like the intellectual Noam Chomsky, numerous holocaust survivors, Jewish historians and famous personalities who have condemned Israeli policies and actions, and equated it with aspects of Nazism and South African apartheid, albeit on a worse scale.

These views are valid and are backed up by a staggering amount of facts and examples.

Taking into account the disproportionate amount of Jewish support for Israel, and we can see who is mostly responsible for anti-Jewish feeling in the world.

After the Gaza massacre started, Jews in Europe and in other parts of the world started being targeted with hate-speech, and Jewish community centers and synagogues were vandalized and attacked.

But who has promoted this hatred? Was it just a sad example of some irrational ingrained Jew-hating feelings inherent in gentiles, or was it a response borne out of anger and frustration at the evil policies and acts of the Israeli regime against those who support it, which happen to be most Jews?

Another angle we can look at regarding this issue is thus:

Zionists ruling Israel, together with their pro-Israeli myrmidons all over the world, spend endless amounts of money on PR campaigns to equate Zionism with Judaism; to make Jews and Israel look like one.

So when Israel goes on an anti-Palestinian/Arab rampage, Jews shouldn't be surprised when non-Jews do the same: equate Judaism with Zionism and attack synagogues, hold demonstrations against Israel, discriminate against, and threaten Jews wherever they see them. When this happens, Israel and its supporters have no one else to thank but themselves!

Being a student of history and an avid follower of current events, it’s my fervent belief that there are no innocent people in this world.

Every race, ethnic group, nationality--and yes, religious group has done despicable things to others throughout its existence. This indisputable fact also applies to all self-styled “innocent victim” groups and nationalities, including Jews.

Being born and raised within one of these national groups, I myself have seen the hypocrisy of a people who constantly whine about the wrongs made against them in the past by this country or that, without this group daring to look at its own unsavory history. So I’m well-acquainted with this sad phenomenon.

It seems like the tragedies of that nation have given it a convenient cover which hides centuries of bad judgment, ignorance, petty nationalism, and childish vindictiveness, all which serve to perpetuate more trouble for the said nation up to the present day.

It’s the same with the Jews who support Israel, right or wrong--although mostly wrong.

Let’s also review a few excerpts written by past historians about this Jewish tendency to shoot themselves in the foot.

"Et Ses Causes,” published in 1894, by noted Jewish author, Bernard Lazare.

He stated the following with regard to these expulsions of Jews:

“If this hostility, even aversion, had only been shown towards the Jews at one period and in one country, it would be easy to unravel the limited causes of this anger, but this race has been on the contrary an object of hatred to all the peoples among whom it has established itself.
 
"It must be therefore, since the enemies of the Jews belonged to the most diverse races, since they lived in countries very distant from each other, since they were ruled by very different laws, governed by opposite principles, since they had neither the same morals, nor the same customs, since they were animated by unlike dispositions which did not permit them to judge of anything in the same way, it must be therefore that the general cause of antisemitism has always resided in Israel itself and not in those who have fought against Israel."

Let’s hear it from another person.

Professor Jesse H. Holmes, writing in, “The American Hebrew,” expressed the following
similar sentiments”

“It can hardly be an accident that antagonism directed against the Jews is to be
found pretty much everywhere in the world where Jews and non-Jews are
associated. And as the Jews are the common element of the situation it would seem
probable, on the face of it, that the cause will be found in them, rather than in the
widely varying groups which feel this antagonism.”

So, taking into account what I and these other two gentlemen have written, doesn’t it seem like the Jewish people are in a way responsible for their own plight by supporting Israeli policies and actions? Don’t they share at least some of the blame for the state of affairs in Palestine, and well as the resulting Antisemitism?

Maybe that’s the aim of the Israeli regime: to cause as much Antisemitism as possible in order to bring and keep Jews together, so Jews survive within their own homogeneous society, free from outsiders.

This could be a plausible explanation when one takes into account the fact that Palestinians are breeding at a faster rate than Jews, and may one day demographically overwhelm the Jewish population in Palestine.

This undoubtedly threatens Israel’s exclusive Jewish majority make-up, upon which the chauvinist and racist Zionist ideology rests. It also helps explain why Israel during its Gaza operations, past and present, targeted women, hospitals, and schools-namely for population control.

I don’t condone violence against Jews or anyone else, because mass-scale targeting of people will one day come back to haunt its perpetrators.

Actually, violence against Jews is what the Israeli regime wants because it feeds into their “victim” status, justifies Israeli military atrocities against anyone, shuts off Jewish criticism, creates pro-Israeli solidarity, and WRONGLY brings Jews closer to supporting Israeli murder and theft. This in turn creates more Antisemitism in the future.

Jews, as well as other people who feel like they’ve been victimized throughout history must look at their own shameful acts throughout the ages, look within themselves with an open mind, figure out their flaws, and correct their behavior.

These people must grow up and find more civilized, saner, and pragmatic ways to deal with the world and their own problems instead of sticking to their paranoid delusions, self-righteousness, and ignorance of others.

Because you know what they say about people who don’t learn from history . . .

Satan-Yahoo Strikes Again

Netanyahoo the war criminal has been mercilessly massacring Palestinians in Gaza and destroying everything he can for the past weeks. Recently, Israhell struck a UN-ran school used as a shelter, and ended up killing civilians.

The US of course was quite quiet, and just issued generalized appeals for both sides to refrain from violence. The US regime usually offers these lukewarm directives whenever Israhell clearly does something disgusting that can’t be readily blamed on anyone else.

Israhell has been losing soldiers, one has been captured and the missiles have been causing some trouble for the Zionists.

It’s bad PR for the Zionist state of israhell to carry on this ethnic cleansing massacre for too long because the longer it goes on, the more unhinged and erratic israhell becomes. Then it starts to really embarrass its US and EU benefactors.

This latest massacre, as well as the massacres before it, are part of a two-pronged Zionist plan to ethnically cleanse Palestine.

On one end, Gaza is being physically destroyed, and people there murdered wholesale so the land can be eventually emptied and annexed. On the West Bank end, the Zionists just take away Palestinians’ land acre by acre in order to squeeze them into smaller and smaller amounts of land. When there’s nowhere else to go, Palestinians will be forcefully deported, with the feckless US and EU looking on, and probably helping the Zionists do so!

And the US, EU, Canada and other countries who kiss zionists’ ass know that israhell is committing war crimes. They know this well. But they allow it to happen so they can get the votes, election campaign hand-outs, and meaningless awards from organized pro-zionist Jewry.

It’s also nauseating to hear these morons in the blogosphere, MSM, and in public condemn Hamas for acting the way it does.

Let me tell you something: If tomorrow, Hamas unconditionally surrendered to israhell, laid down their weapons, disbanded their movement, and apologized to israhell, it would change nothing!

Israhell would just laugh at how stupid and cowardly Arabs are, and continue occupying their lands and treating them like shit.

Hamas doesn’t drive israhelli behavior; israhelli occupation drives Hamas behavior. To israhell, Hamas is simply in the way of taking control of all of Palestine. Any surrender on the part of the Palestinian resistance would only accelerate the total theft of all of Palestine, not diminish it. It also wouldn’t lead to peace and to a Palestinian state at all.

So those who think that if Palestinians lay down their arms the occupation will end and Israel will leave the Palestinians alone is either a liar or a naïve moron.

Western countries are selling out the Palestinian people to the Zionist devil for thirty shekels of silver. And then they wonder why the world hates them; why someone flies planes into their buildings, bombs their train stations, buses, and cuts their heads off. Turn on the TV and look at what is being done to Gaza and the West Bank by the zionists, and they’ll see why!

Now israhell and the US demand that any ceasefire or truce must end in the disarmament of Hamas.

No!

Forty-seven years of brutal zionist occupation, oppression, and terror is enough!

No ceasefires or truces! Israel must be brought to the brink, and be forced to lift the siege NOW, not later on, because later won't happen. The blockade of Gaza must be lifted immediately and permanently. Only then can zionists have their ceasefires.

What good is a ceasefire and truce for Palestinians if it keeps Gaza blocked off from the outside? After the massacre and destruction israhell has caused, Palestinians must demand the world, or all those Palestinian lives which were lost were lost in vain.

Do the Palestinians really want to go through this again four years from now?

Yes, it is tough, painful, horrible and inhuman what the Zionists and their western whores are doing to Gaza. It is heart-wrenching. It is hell on earth. It is depressing and cruel beyond belief.

But Palestinians must persist, because nothing good in this world comes easy.

The Sins of Vladimir Putin

Since the shooting down of the Malaysian flight MH17 over Donetsk in Eastern Ukraine, the US regime and it’s media whores have been running around like crazy trying to blame the incident on Russia, without presenting any credible evidence to back up their accusations.

To the ignorant and naïve, this looks to be Russia’s fault, and Russian President Vladimir Putin’s.

But to those who have been paying attention to US foreign policy for a while this all looks like a classic setup of Russia by the US.

From the degenerate view of the US ruling elites, Russia under Putin has committed some cardinal sins which are unforgivable, and which must be punished.

They are:

-Modernization of Russian economy and infrastructure with money Russia previously held in Wall St. banks

-Independent foreign policy not dependent on Washington

-The eviction of pro-US NGOs whose aim was to meddle in Russian internal affairs, thereby causing destabilization and manipulation of Russia’s political and electoral processes, and promoting pro-US “reformers” who would take orders from Washington and Brussels.

-Moving away from dollar as reserve, trade, and oil currency

-Gas deal with China which will make Russia less reliant on Europe as an energy customer and less susceptible to US sanctions

-The successful peaceful Russian prevention of the US drive to war with Syria after Russia convinced Bashar Assad to scrap chemical weapons, a process that has been successfully completed

-Most modern and well-organized winter Olympics to date, which were a success, regardless of US/EU slander

-The recently-announced formation of a BRICS development bank, which undermines the broke and corrupt IMF that the US uses to exercise control over the world’s economy

-Russia’s regaining of control over Crimea by popular referendum, which deprives NATO of a strategic location

-The blowback from US-instigated Ukrainian regime change operation which has led to political and economic chaos 
 
All these Russian accomplishments are an inexcusable slap in the face of the US Empire, and have to be punished.

This erratic and dangerous US behavior towards Russia is driven by the fact that the US is a declining power, which no longer has the economic and political clout to get its way every time without any opposition.

Countries are starting to distance themselves from the US who they rightfully see as reckless and out of touch with reality.

The US Empire doesn’t like this, and they refuse to accept it. More importantly, they don’t know what to do about it, so they lash out in the most extreme and violent ways to hold onto their slippery grip on power.

So they decided to punish Russia.

First, the US supported and encouraged the over throw of a democratically-elected Ukrainian government and replacing it with their own hand-picked junta creatures, who threatened ethnic Russians. This led to the Eastern part of Ukraine revolting against Kiev.

This was an attempt to pull Ukraine away from Russia and close to US in order to isolate Russia.

After months of violence and deaths, Putin, who continuously called for a cease-fire and a negotiated settlement, was blamed for the violence, and for supporting the anti-government fighters.

Then sanctions were slapped on Russia, in order to provoke it into attacking Ukraine and creating an excuse for more sanctions.

Russia didn’t take the bait, and then a day or so after Russia signed the development bank agreement, the Malaysian flight MH17 was brought down.

US immediately blamed Russia, and without any evidence to back up any of the accusations, put sanctions on Russian banks, energy companies, and weapons makers. The weak EU followed after being threatened with all kinds of measures against its banks and other entities which operated on US soil.

US didn’t even bother presenting any evidence. All they managed to do was release some grainy satellite images on social media on a Sunday morning, when no one was paying any attention.

This is a really shoddy and unprofessional way to convey such important information, and the world can only assume that the info is B.S. since no US official was available to comment on it.

US intelligence quietly admitted that there’s no evidence tying Russia or anti-Kiev fighters to the downing of the plane, and that they don’t know who was responsible (which is US-speak for “we/ the Ukrainians did it, but won’t admit it”).

There’s a pattern developing here that’s hard to miss to those who have been paying attention to world events for at least a year.

Let’s go back to the summer of 2013. Edward Snowden reveals the extent of the NSA wiretapping and spying program worldwide. From the revelations Germany finds out that US has been spying on Chancellor Angela Merkel as well as the entire country. Germany gets pissed off and launches investigations.

Suddenly, a chemical gas attack is launched in Damascus-at a time when the Syrian military is gaining ground against militants. US immediately blames the Syrian government, without presenting any evidence to back up their accusations, starts threatening Syria with all-out war, distracts and scares its EU vassals back into submission and compliance. German investigations come to an inconclusive end.

Almost a year later, Germany starts uncovering a US spy network and arrests spies working in high government positions. Germany is angry and fed up. It wants to end intelligence cooperation with US and demands US agrees not to spy on Germany again. US naturally refuses. US –German relations get very chilly.

Suddenly, flight MH17 is shot down over Eastern Ukraine-as the militants are successfully fighting back regime troops. US immediately blames Russia and anti-Kiev fighters, again without any evidence to back up the accusations. Again, US vassals are scared and forced into line with US demands, Russia is demonized and sanctioned. As a result, Germany goes along with US sanctions, and may very well backpedal on confronting the US and holding it accountable for spying.

So just from these two examples, but there are others to be sure, we can clearly see that whenever the US regime gets caught doing something nefarious and illegal, suddenly some event occurs which is used by the US to point a finger at someone else, distract the public, scare its vassals back into line and shut them up.

There’s no way that these events can be coincidences, especially when the US has no evidence to prove that any of those whom they blamed in both cases were guilty.

Case in point, it’s been almost a year since the sarin gas attack in Syria, and investigations show that the attacks were not carried out by Syrian army or with Syrian government knowledge. Evidence points to it being a rebel false-flag attack which was then blamed on Syria. No wonder why US media has been totally silent on this for months now.

Ditto for the shooting down of the MH17 flight. There’s no evidence that Russia was involved. Even the lying idiot Kerry was forced to grudgingly admit this when questioned officially.

Most of the world doesn’t buy US accusations anymore. After the Iraqi WMD debacle, only a moron will.

But there’s something else going on here which many people aren’t aware of.

US attempts to provoke, demonize, falsely accuse, sanction, and isolate Russia are not simply directed at Russia and Putin for having independent policies. No, it’s also directed at the EU.

Both Russia and the EU are US adversaries, whether anyone cares to officially admit it or not. Russia is a strategic/military adversary, and the EU is an economic adversary.

Before the 2008 economic collapse, the EU was overtaking the US economically in virtually every sphere. Then Poof! EU was cut down to size, and has been languishing ever since.

Also, Russia and the EU have been getting closer economically over the past years, and this threatened US economic and strategic control of Europe.

What the US has stirred up in the Ukraine is about keeping the EU and Russia divided, and their economies weakened so that neither one dares to supplant the US or its influence in any way, shape or form.

Don’t believe me? Recently the US slapped French banks with fines because of France’s refusal to cancel the Mistral helicopter ship deal with Russia.

US also threatened German banks operating in the US with investigations and fines for supposed “violations.” This was undoubtedly done to force Germany to pass economic sanctions against Russia, as well as punishment for daring to stand up to the US over the spying scandal.

Ironically, Russia is actually suffering less than the EU. This brings to mind the saying that it’s bad to have the US as your enemy, but even worse to have the US as your friend.

From the looks of it, it’s a true statement.

Consistently Inconsistent

The carnival of US-led/sponsored death and destruction continues in the Ukraine and Syria.
 
Let’s touch upon some recent events.

Although the anti-Kiev fighters have been making some gains lately, to the mix has been added the downing of Malaysian passenger plane over Eastern Ukraine.

The Kiev junta has immediately blamed the anti-government fighters, even though the fighters don’t possess any anti-aircraft weaponry capable of shooting down an airplane from such a high altitude; and why would they want to is beyond any common sense and reason.

But the Kiev regime does have anti-aircraft missiles capable of hitting planes at high altitudes, so clearly it’s this tragedy is Kiev’s fault any way. The plane also seemed to be diverted 200 miles north of its usual flight pattern. This cannot be blamed on Russia or Putin!

Although the jury’s still out as to why the plane went down, if the coming days and weeks bring western accusations against Russia and the anti-Kiev forces, we’ll know US/west had a hand in it. The ones who scream the loudest accusations will be the real culprits.

Another sign of hope is the Syrian election which took place in June. The results cannot be disputed. The majority of the Syrian people have stood with Assad and the current Syrian government, to the embarrassment of the US/EU and their pathetic bought-and-paid-for whores who the US/EU tried to pass off as legitimate future rulers of Syria.

The Israeli regime has also embarked on another killing spree in Gaza in order to punish the Palestinians for the kidnapping and killing of three Jewish teenagers in the West Bank. This event was the catalyst for the latest zionist massacre.

I personally think that this kidnapping and killing of the three Jewish teenagers was cooked up by the Mossad and the rest of the filth-ridden Zionist government in order to create an excuse to attack Gaza, and punish Hamas and Fatah for forming a unity government.

This would certainly not be the first time the Zionist state sacrificed fellow tribal members for its own nefarious and demented purposes. It happened before.

And why the Zionist rush to blame and attack Hamas? The disappearance and death of the Jewish teens occurred in the West Bank, not Gaza. Israel has not provided any evidence whatsoever which genuinely implicates Hamas in the deed. But Israel has never had a need for facts to backup its evil policies.

With all this said, let’s go through some stark contradictions concerning related US/Zionist behavior.

CONTRADICTION #1
From the beginning of the so-called Syrian revolution, the US/west kept on stressing how they cared about the Syrian people, democracy, free elections, and how they wanted the Syrians to have a better life; about how the west wanted to free them from tyranny.
 
But what the US/west unleashed on Syria were some of the most foulest fanatics and freaks to ever walk the Middle East. From the prisons and sewers of Saudi Arabia and elsewhere crawled out these fiends-trained, funded, armed, and encouraged by the US/west, to go to Syria to “free” it from Bashar Al Assad.

But the evil nature of these so-called freedom fighters was laid bare after multiple chemical attacks with crude bombs, cannibalism, torture, massacres, and application of medieval religious laws to “liberated” parts of Syria.

The Syrian people realized that they’re been had. They realized that the west doesn’t give a crap about them, because if it did, US wouldn’t be sending freaks into Syria to kill and massacre them in the first place!

When Syrians all over the world went to the ballot boxes in June to make their choice clear, what did the US and it’s scummy vassal governments in Europe and elsewhere do? They threatened and prevented Syrian expatriates from voting in the Syrian embassies and consulates.

Why? Because the west knew that the majority of the Syrians would vote for Assad, fair and square. Assad’s popular victory was not to the liking of the US cabal, because it undermined the years of carefully cultivated western government and media propaganda and lies that all Syrians hate Assad and support the so-called “revolution.”

This disgusting and cynical example shows how much the US truly cares about the Syrian people, democracy, and free elections.

These elections in Syria were a rejection of foreign intervention. They were a rejection of the freaks trained and sent by the west into Syria to cause havoc.

The false cover of bringing freedom and democracy to Syria, which conveniently served the US until now, has been permanently ripped away.
 
From this point on, if the US and its whores still intend to support the militants in Syria, they do so against the wishes of the majority of the Syrian people; they do it only for shallow and self-serving US/EU interests, not for the good of Syrians.

The Syrians have no reason to ever trust the US again after the cruel ways in which the US has treated them. The US has lost the ear of the Syrians indefinitely. The few scraps of garbage that still listen are 100% irrelevant.

CONTRADICTION #2
When the Syrian government rolled out its military against militants seeking to overthrow the government, the US condemned the Syrian government and started aiding the militants and encouraging many others to go to Syria and fight. It trained and armed all those who volunteered, and did so openly.

But when the government in the Ukraine massacres its own citizens who don’t want to be ruled by a minority government who is hostile to ethnic Russians, the US encourages and protects that government, and calls the victims terrorists.

Then the US threatens Russia with sanctions for showing any support or sympathy for the anti-Kiev groups.

CONTRADICTION #3
In the Syrian elections, Bashar Al Assad got over 80% of the popular vote out of all eligible votes cast, and the US rejected the results as fake and irrelevant, even though foreign observers judged the election to be fair under the circumstances. The US also used the excuse that fair elections cannot be held in war zones.

In Ukraine’s elections back in May, the new pro-western puppet regime violated its own constitution by doing away with the frequency requirement (meaning that a minimum of 52% of eligible voters must turn out to vote or else there’s a run-off election). 

Less than 50% of Ukrainians turned out for the election, making the results null and void. Add to that the fact that any candidate not to the liking of the pro-US apparatchiks and their neo-Nazi freak allies was beaten up, threatened, and kept from campaigning. But the US and EU nevertheless recognized the results as legitimate, and had no issue with E. Ukraine being a war zone at the time of the elections.
 
CONTRADICTION #4
US is sanctioning Russia, and forcing EU to sanction Russia for “interfering” in Ukraine and annexing Crimea.
 
So shouldn’t the US been sanctioned in 2003 when it illegally invaded Iraq based on lies?
 
Shouldn’t it been sanctioned when it ripped away Kosovo from Serbia?
 
I wonder what the US would say if the next time it invades and occupies a country based on lies other countries sanction it.
 
CONTRADICTION #5
US condemns Hamas for defending itself against Israeli onslaught and massacres, but encourages, trains, and arms militants in Syria, and condemns Syrian government from defending itself.

CONTRADICTION #6
Israel is on one hand fighting militants in Gaza, but supports militants in Syria. Israel also kidnaps, holds without charge, and kills Palestinian youth almost every day; yet no one seems to remember or care about this. No one attacks Israel for doing so. 

So why the wailing and whining when three Jewish teens, who are not even supposed to be in the West Bank as it’s not Israeli territory, are kidnapped and killed?

Syrian government is threatened and punished for fighting foreign militants, while Ukraine and Israel are rewarded and protected for threatening and killing people who are native to their respective regions.

CONTRADICTION #7 
The US and their vassals encourage, train, and arm militants in Syria, then turn around and worry that these same freaks they trained will come back home and wreak havoc on them!

What is a normal person supposed to make of all these double-standards? Many are likely confused about what the US really believes, and what its true aims are. Is the US really against terrorism? If so, why does it support terrorists in Syria, Libya and Iran?

But let’s cut through the confusion and dilemmas right here and now with these three simple points to remember about US foreign policy:

1. The US supports any individuals and groups which further US economic, military, and strategic interests. The groups' ideology and tactics are irrelevant.

2. If supporting some militant group of freaks serves US imperial interests in a particular place, the US will support it. If fighting the same militant group of freaks, or one like it in another part of the world (often at the same time) serves its imperial interests, the US will fight it day and night.

3. It’s important to dispose of any notions of principles, laws, fair-play, and morality when discussing US foreign policy, because none of these things are taken into any kind of consideration by the US in furtherance of its geopolitical goals.

The one thing consistent about US foreign policy is its continuous inconsistency.

I usually post essays on this blog about the sickening, evil cloud of hell-spawned shit that is US policy and national life.

But today, I shall digress from reporting on the latest issues, like the backstage US-coordinated massacres of civilians taking place in the Ukraine, and the abject failure of the US invasion of Iraq which has resulted in that country’s 2nd biggest city being taken over by armed militants.

Today, I shall focus on a thing perhaps just as disgusting, useless and evil, just like virtually all US politicians from the prez on down, and all the stupid satanic shit they say and do.

Today I shall talk about smart phones.

Yes, those little devices are nothing but an expensive and dangerous distraction, and around which life seems to revolve now for way too many people.

If there was ever an invention that should NEVER have been, the smart phone is it.

Why are these things bad?

1. They distract people. This has led to injury and death. Really, what is so damn important that people have to be constantly in-touch with every-fucking-one all the damn time? Are people this lonely and pathetic?

2. They are too expensive. I just cannot, and will not, ever see a justification to buy one of these overpriced pocket vibrators just to have one. Spending $300 or more for a phone that doubles as a mini-computer? Are people really that important that they must be connected to everything, everyone, and everywhere all the time? Ask yourself: what is it that you do that’s so vital that a regular cell phone just won’t do (do they even make cell phones anymore?)

3. They are little tracking devices. If you have a smart phone, you can be/are being tracked. Your every more can be recorded. These little pieces of overrated digital junk are privacy killers. But hey, giving up rights and freedoms for convenience is the American way! I’m thoroughly convinced that these things were barfed up upon society not to make our lives easier, but to make it easier for people to be spied on and followed by the NSA, military, and all the other paranoid government turd-sniffers.  So in essence, people are spending way too much money to be spied upon.

4. They’re annoying. If something goes wrong with these little fuckers, get ready for headaches, and for a lot of wasted time. Plus, the crap that goes along with getting them fixed saps away any time you may have saved with these things. Believe me; I know what I’m talking about. I have to support these damn things every day, and I hate it.

These are the four main reasons why I hate smart phones. I’m sure there are others. I personally don’t own one, don’t want one, and am doing just fine without one, as are millions of people worldwide. 

And spare me the babble about the benefits of these things. I in no way feel less informed or out-of-the-loop on what's going on in the world because I don't own one.

These things didn’t exist until what, five-six years ago? Somehow the world got along fine without smart phones. So you don’t need one!

Whatever benefits or positive things smart phones may have, it's nothing one cannot live without. They remain unnecessary devices for the vast majority of the human race.

Smart phones are just another chain around your neck; just one more thing the marketing-corporate-government schmucks for their own sinister reasons shoved down the peoples’ throat and manipulate them to think that we all need a smart phone, that it’s necessary. BS, I say!
 
You don’t need a smart phone. It’s another frivolous piece of crap. 

BTW, the same goes for it's inbred cousin, the tablet.

Now, as much disdain as I have for these devices, there are strictly only two scenarios in which I would even consider getting one.

1. I’m self-employed, and I have to keep in touch with customers in the quickest and best way I can, and need to have access to information and documents remotely whenever and wherever.

2. My employer requires me to have one to do my job and buys it for me, data plan and all

But beyond that, the smart phone is just a frivolous and unnecessary waste of time and money, and maybe even one’s security and life.
