EU's Economic Woes

Recent events in France, Italy, Spain, are showing that the EU is nose-diving into oblivion.

Decades of faulty policies, deluded ideology, bad economics, carrying out US demands, and overestimating their actual power and influence has led to socio-economic chaos in Western Europe/EU.

Attempts to blame the chaos on 'students' or Russia are futile.

These riots are the result of sloppy immigration policies, and prioritizing warmongering and ukraine instead of spending money on one's own citizens, who have been getting short-changed for years with austerity policies to feed corrupt EU regimes and the kiev criminals.

The EU thought that it could ride the wave of prosperity forever, but what these fools in Brussels and EU member-state capitals failed to realize, is that the EU is quite resource-poor.

Non-Russian part of Europe simply doesn't have the natural resources, especially energy, to be self-sufficient.

No one there thought of this elephant in the room before they cut themselves off from cheap and reliable Russian energy and other resources for political purposes.

By doing so, the EU wasn't hurting Russia. The EU was hurting itself.

Did the EU grand poobahs have a stroke and temporarily forget that it is Russia, not they, who have the energy to sell?

The EU also overestimated its importance, especially to Russia. The EU thought Russia would collapse when its energy sector is sanctioned, but Russia simply rerouted its energy sales elsewhere.

Now, the EU is still buying Russian energy, which it cannot wean itself off of no matter how much it says it can, but from 3rd parties for 5 or more times the price. From $150 per cubic meter of gas before 2022, to $1,500 per cubic meter of gas today.

EU needs Russia far more than Russia needs the EU.

Russian government has already stated that there will be no more energy deals with the EU, no long-term contracts and no discounts.

They trusted con-men and cheats from London who convinced them to abandon Russian energy and buy it on the spot market from somewhere else.

Then they found out the hard, and expensive way that the spot market favors the highest bidder, and that they were basically opting in for energy auctions.

The energy and economic situation for the EU will get even worse in 2027 when the last of the long-term Russian energy contracts expire.

The EU will be poor, and conditions there will get worse and worse.

But these are the choices the EU made, even before Russia's Special Military Operation started. So they cannot blame Putin for this.

Europa delenda est!
