US Fumbles

The US wants to maintain its empire, but at their vassals cost.

Neither the US nor any other NATO-member countries have the money to maintain this level of militarism anymore, but each one is trying to saddle the other with the financial responsibility for it.

This is leading to frustration and schism within the NATO ranks, especially after US Defense Secretary James Mattis told the rest of NATO members that they will have to shoulder more financial responsibility.

Currently, the US and NATO are busy crying wolf over a fictitious Russian threat and imminent invasion, and are massing weapons and troops on Russia’s borders, while to Europe’s southern flanks migrants flood in from Africa and the Mideast. The EU/US/NATO are again, acting 180-degrees of reality.

But if Russia is such a threat, then why are NATO members complaining about having to spend more on defense? If Russia was truly a danger, then these countries would willingly spend whatever they need to protect themselves.

Whether Europe has realized it yet or not, the sad truth is that the US has enslaved Europe for over 70 years.

And yes, it is enslavement in every sphere; military, political, diplomatic, economic, social, cultural and intellectual. This enslavement has set Europe back in every way, and has caused European countries to lose a lot of good opportunities for advancement.

As long as the rest of Europe bows down to Uncle SCam it cannot progress, and will see chaos. The US has been abusing and killing non-western people for a very long time, and has run out of valuable targets. It is now turning on its vassals. This is a sign that the US is failing and its hegemony is coming to an end.

Donald Trump’s waffling when it comes to past NATO commitments and unwillingness to bear the financial and military responsibility for it, because of unsustainable levels of US debt, is exposing the rickety and troubled framework of the so-called Atlanticist consensus

Things won’t get any better for the US and its role in the world anymore. There’s simply no one wealthy and weak enough left to fight against and easily win. The only ones left are poor, dusty 3rd world countries that have nearly nothing valuable, broke and servile vassals who are pretty much tapped out, and powerful countries like Russia and China which have strong militaries and thousands of nukes that the US just cannot, and will not overcome.

In the last phase, the three-headed hydra of US corporate/bankster/government oligarchic regime will turn on its own people.

Every president since that silly little turd Truman had to bend over for the miilitary-industrial complex. They had to, or else they'd end up being JFK'd.

Trump is no different, but he does have two choices on how to feed the MIC and survive: through war-which the US can no longer afford- or through 'military modernization programs,' which are less destructive, but still deliver the required tribute to the MIC.

What we may be seeing is a return to another version of the cold war where the US becomes aware of its weaknesses and limitations in the face of resurgent adversaries which will no longer allow US to run roughshod over the earth; adversaries which the US cannot counter.

This may be the reason behind the cooked-up artificial anti-Russian paranoia we have been witnessing for the past 4 years. The US needs a convenient, but civilized and predictable enemy which can justify increased military spending, but one which won't have to be fought.

It’s doubtful if there will be any rapprochement between Russia and US, but Russia can use the current situation to its advantage as well-because there are advantages to it. It can develop its economy and become more self-sufficient, and create better technologies, both military and civilian, and establish links with other countries. As long as Russia doesn't fall into the arms-race trap (most likely it won't), then it will be okay.

Trump doesn't have any secret/covert connections with the Kremlin, and neither do his advisors and cabinet officials. This accusation has been fake news from day one. That some of his officials talked to Russian officials is not a sin, but it's being made to look that way for political reasons. Trump is being simply brow-beaten and tamed to fall into line by the deep state which doesn't want change. Therefore they are lying to prevent any and all cooperation between US and Russia.
