After some months of hard-slogging, the Syrian Arab Army, with the help of Russian air cover, and aid from pro-government militias, Hezbollah resistance movement, and the Iranian IRGC, has scored important victories in the Norther Aleppo province. Their combined efforts are starting to bear noticeable fruit, and the scale is being tipped in their favor.
The pro-government forces and their allies have seized control of important towns surrounding the Syrian city of Aleppo, and have cut off highway access for the rebels which depend on these roads for vital supplies coming in from Turkey.
As a result, the city of Aleppo is now virtually surrounded by Syrian pro-government forces. The only rebel resupply route remains a highway through Idlib, but this road is very dangerous as Russian jets patrol it, and will take out any suspicious cargo moving along it.
The rebels have been surrendering en-masse or fleeing North toward Turkey and Eastern Syria. Rebel control is crumbling in the North, East, and South of the country.
Thanks to Russian firepower and the de-facto no-fly zone over Syria provided by the Russian S-300 and S-400 anti-aircraft batteries, Turkey and US are basically locked out from flying over those regions. They are unable to assist their terror proxies.
Border areas in Northern Syria are again coming under control of the Syrian forces. Towns and villages are being liberated, and grateful citizens are forming volunteer battalions to fight the western/Saudi/Turkish-sponsored terror groups.
The stupid Turkish move to shoot down the Russian Su-24 fighter jet in November has backfired dramatically on the Dirty Sultan of Ankara and his Turkmen minions, who Russia has decimated.
As a result, the mood in Washington and NATO HQ has been quite desperate. The US aim of regime change in Syria has failed, and is being effectively reversed.
US terror proxies are being routed and defeated.
In an act of sheer desperation, the US asked for a meeting in Geneva between Syrian government and the opposition groups, who are nothing more than US-controlled puppets, and which don’t have any real support among Syrians.
The purpose of these negotiations isn’t real peace and end to the conflict; it is a sneaky and underhanded ploy to con the Russians and the Syrian government into enacting a ceasefire, and stop the bombing of rebels so that they can lick their wounds, regroup, be rearmed by Turkey and the US, and launch new offensives. The US isn’t interested in true peaceful end to this conflict.
The US always opts for negotiations when it is losing, and failing to achieve its objectives.
It is important at this time for Russia and the Syrian government not to fall for this ‘negotiations’ deception. The Syrians have been burned by these ceasefires before.
Thankfully, Russia isn’t buying this negotiations nonsense, and sees it for what it really is.
One clue that the US isn’t serious about these negotiations is that their ‘opposition’ groups continue to make unreasonable demands, refuse to meet unconditionally, and walked out. Another clue is that the US insists on including known terror groups in the negotiations, groups affiliated with Al Qaeda and Al Nusra.
The US and its rotten allies have launched a propaganda campaign that they will ‘invade’ Syria if there is no agreement. This is a way to scare and force Russia and Damascus to give in.
The US wants a ceasefire, then use the lull in fighting to stall and drag out the negotiations for as long as it needs to rearm, resupply, and re-deploy more terrorists into Syria. Once everything is in place, the US will walk away from the negotiations, and of course it will blame Russia and Assad for the failure of the negotiations.
But this strategy won’t work. Putin’s plan seems to be to continue bombing the US-sponsored terror groups until a real agreement is signed. This is exactly what the US doesn’t want.
Now there is talk of Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE sending their troops to fight in Syria.
But the question is, who are these troops are going to fight? ISIS, Al Qaeda, Al Nusra? No. They will try to fight the Syrian Army and overthrown the government.
The US at this point is not interested in fighting terrorism; it wants these Arab tools and patsies to go into Syria to save the terror groups on Washington’s behalf.
Some US allies seem to be joining in as well. UK, Germany, Netherlands and others have sent some planes. This is meant to fight ISIS. The Arab forces seem to be included to augment US efforts on the ground.
But this is just desperate and deluded fear-mongering to pressure Russia and Damascus. The presence of these forces in Syria without permission from Damascus will be an invasion.
Add to that the fact that these forces will inevitably go against Russia. What would the outcome be if Saudi or Turkish troops started shooting at Russians, Iranians, or Hezbollah?
It would mean a possible hot war between nuclear powers. But with Russia in Syria, there won't be an invasion.
As stupid and deranged as the US regime is, even they realize that this will be suicide. They will try to send some more planes and some special forces into Syria, but it will be nowhere near what is needed to make a difference.
The US reaction to Russian and Syrian successes has been frustration and anger.
It is this very reaction that gives the US ‘war on terror’ away as a supreme farce, and the US aim of fighting ISIS as a sham.
For if the US aim was truly dedicated to fighting terrorists in Syria, it would appreciate and applaud the Russian and Syrian efforts, and would assist them.
That the US is acting in the exact opposite way shows that the US is only interested in regime change, and that fighting ISIS is a secondary consideration, to be undertaken only after pro-US creatures are in power in Damascus.
The Syrian army offensive also exposes the lie of sectarian hatred in Syria promoted by western governments and their media that this is a battle against Alawite oppressors and oppressed Sunnis; that the so-called rebellion is driven by religious hatred. Here we have Alawite Shiites, Lebanese Shiites, Iranians, Syrian and Palestinian Sunnis and other govt. militias of mixed sects fighting together against sick Saudi Wahhabi apostates of Islam. It is this unity that scares the US and its saudi and turkish cohorts the most.
The US is losing in Syria, and is surrounding itself with their Gulf Arab and EU whores for moral support. It is trying to huff and puff against Russia and Damascus, by hinting that there will be 'an invasion,' but elicits only a bored yawn from Putin and Assad.
This entire tragedy in Syria is the fault of the US and its rotten Saudi and Turkish cohorts. It is their training, arming, and aiding of terror groups and sending them into Syria through Turkey that has wreaked havoc on that unfortunate land.
The US plans for Syria are illegal, immoral, and plain wrong. These plans are failing because they are based on lies and unrealistic aspirations; and policies based on lies seldom succeed. Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Somalia and others are living examples of what US delusions of grandeur and fake propaganda beamed down by their corrupt media acolytes lead to: failed stated drowning in violence and freakishness of the lowest sort.
Let’s hope that the scale against this fake, western-supported rebellion is finally being tipped in favor of Syria, and that soon there WILL be a real negotiation on Syria’s future, with terror groups excluded, and with the Syrian people having the final say—whether the US likes it or not.
For the US, it’s either this or WW3. So the choice is obvious.
