On the agenda were of course economic issues, and plans for closer cooperation.
Putin also stated that Russia can lift the food embargo on Greece, allowing the country to generate much-needed revenues.
Lifting of the food embargo for those countries that reach out to Russia, and which want to have good relations with it, is a good idea.
Russia should deal with EU countries individually as called for, not as a bloc. Doing so embarrasses and hurts only those nations that choose to provoke Russia, while rewarding those that act responsibly. If a country shows animosity toward Russia, ban their imports.
Russia has a great opportunity here to end this idiotic state of affairs and divide the EU, not really to destroy it, but to isolate and hurt those nations who provoke Russia and show it ill-will, like Poland, Romania, Ukraine.
What many don't realize, is that when the US forced the EU to
put sanctions on Russia, the US didn't only mean to hurt Russia. It also meant
to hurt the EU economy.
Obomber and his war criminal underlings can say
whatever they want in public about 'Transatlantic unity,' but the FACT remains that the US sees the EU as an
economic rival. It benefits the US to see the EU economy sputter.
Russia is the
USA's strategic rival; the EU is the USA's economic rival, along with China. US
wants to cripple all three.
Unfortunately, too many foolish EU member states
don't realize this or just don't care, to the detriment of their own people and
the EU as a whole.
Also, by decree, Putin has lifted the embargo on the supply of the S-300 missile defense system to Iran, after the nuclear agreement was struck between Iran and the P5+1 group in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Already the US imperial lackeys and the zionists are whining.
The S-300 is a purely defensive system, akin to the US patriot missile system. It's only a threat to enemy aircraft and missiles which cross into Iran's airspace.
Let's also not forget that Israel remains the only state in the Mideast regime that possesses an estimated 200 nuclear bombs, so hearing Zionist thugs whine about the sale of S-300 to Iran is just plain hypocritical.
And at a time when the US and it's filthy proxies, ISIS/ISIL, Saudis are destroying Yemen, and the inbred congress critters are threatening to 'invalidate' any agreement with Iran, it's clear that Iran must cultivate relationships with regional countries, especially Russia and China.
There's strength in numbers, and the US knows this. Keeping Iran isolated under economic sanctions and arms embargoes softens Iran up, and makes it easier for the US and Israel to bomb later on.
But with effective anti-aircraft defense systems, and powerful patrons and allies, the cost of regime change for the US and its henchmen becomes much riskier and expensive.
With the right mix of economic and military cooperation between Iran, Russia, China and others, US imperial wars can be prevented, and US power cut down.
This is already happening, and hopefully continues. The world can only be better off.
