Why are some dictators coddled and
aided and abetted by the US and others assassinated, overthrown and
then hanged?
I'm not going to waste my time
explaining fully how criminally hypocritical US foreign policy is
detail by detail. I'm not going to talk about in detail about what morally hopeless cretins the creatures who govern this hapless land of
contradictions are. These are both givens, long known to those who
are still awake and of at least average intelligence.
Always remember this: US interests start and finish with the
dollar in mind.
No matter what is said on TV by the president and his
handlers, no matter what lofty principles and eloquent speeches
are made by any politician, and regardless of all the self-righteous fluff and feel-good tripe stuffed into US history books, the number one US aim is the control of
the wealth of the globe, by hook or crook or murder.
It basically comes down to one simple
premise: whatever means have to be used to attain the wealth of the
globe, will be used.
This explains the anomalies in US
foreign policy which are very evident when examined closer.
Those who know this simple truth, can
very easily discern a lot of things in the everyday events around the
globe into which the US decides to stick their bloody fingers.
Whatever the US response, or lack
thereof, to any event is no mistake. Whatever reaction follows from
the US government is carefully calculated based on economic interests
and how the event at hand fits into it.
But this inadvertently also shows which countries in the world are still truly independent and sovereign and which ones are subservient to the US will.

It is confusing trying to reconcile US government rhetoric versus actions.
The US may support some leader or movement if it
feels that they serve its economic capitalist interests and ally
itself against another if it is harmful to US interests.
Whether the person/group supported or opposed is a cold-blooded autocratic butcher or a paragon of virtue and freedom is irrelevant as long as "vital" US interests are concerned. The US supports the side which is more receptive to US interests.

But one easy way to see which
movement/leader/government is friendly to US interests is to simply
look at the treatment the US has meted out to it.
99.9% of the time, any
movement/leader/government which is unreceptive to US economic and strategic interests (although not a threat to the safety of the US and maybe even generally friendly) will
be pilloried, demonized, slandered, sanctioned, accused of all sorts of crimes
and threatened on an everyday basis by the US government and the
compliant mainstream media propaganda machine.
Also, any leader out there today that is tolerated by the US is subservient to it to some degree, even if they seem to be defiant towards the US on the outside. A few such examples are Egyptian President Morsi and Afghan President Karzai. If they were truly independent, they would get the same treatment as Iran, N. Korea, Syria, Cuba and others who refuse to bend their knee for the evil US empire.

The US does not have friends. To be
friends with someone, you first have to acknowledge that this person
is an equal. It means treating them with respect and fairness. A
true friend helps without demanding anything in return.
By this criteria, the US has zero
friends. It only has interests.
The US does not want anyone else to be
its equal. Those who try to be so in any way are demonized and
slandered and insulted (Russia and China). The US only wants to talk...no, dictate,
to people from a position of superiority, not equality. This goes for ally and foe. The US also
does not respect other nations. It only treats them nice as long as
they give in to every US wish and whim. And the US NEVER helps anyone
without demanding something in return; many times wanting back more
than it ever gave (Marshall Plan is a good example).
The contradictory US behavior is a
result of seeking wealth.
That's why the US condemns Syria for
cracking down on protesters and stays quiet when Bahrain calls in S.
Arabian troops to put down by force its own people.
That's why it fomented a rebellion in
Libya under the cover of “humanitarian aid” to the rebels but
stayed quiet for two weeks while Mubarak's regime in Egypt beat protesters mercilessly and ran them over with cars.
That's why it pretends not to notice
the savagery in S. Arabia and lack of any semblance of democracy in
places like Kuwait but breaks out in a sweat whenever a protester is
slapped in Tehran or Moscow.
That's why it interferes in other
nations elections and manipulates public opinion in favor of the
pro-US candidate, but screams “fraud!” when
a candidate/party in another country who is not friendly to US
interests wins.
The US
will swiftly condemn and promptly act against any act of violence,
electoral fraud, genocide, invasion, human rights abuses, corruption,
governmental ineptness and other crimes when those who commit these
acts are not willing to be loyal subjects of the US government and
who do not accept the US neo-liberal capitalist model which seeks to
exploit their countries resources and people for cheap.
But
the US will swiftly excuse, protect or at the very least ignore any of these
above mentioned crimes when the people committing them are 100%
friendly to US economic, strategic and military interests.
US
actions, whatever they are and whoever or whatever they apply to, always did,
currently do,
and always will
revolve around the dollar, for better or worse.
All
the rest is propaganda and lies.
