The EU has been going through a pretty bad energy crunch lately. Shortages of natural gas have caused gas prices to go through the roof throughout the EU.
This is all very bad news with winter looming.
The Russophobes immediately started to blame Russia for cutting off gas for political reasons to pressure the EU.
But only the ignorant buy this lie.
The causes for the gas shortage and the resulting spike in price is due first and foremost to bad EU energy policy which eschews sure sources of fuel for green energy of which there is too little produced to satisfy demand.
Second reason is that the EU has moved to buying gas on the open spot market instead of signing long-term contracts for gas with Russia, which ensures lower prices and a stable supply to meet nations energy needs.
Russia has warned the EU that such a practice will cause problems for them in the future.
The spot market is basically a place where a limited amount of energy is being auctioned off to the highest bidder. This is how the US sells its LNG.
So the shortage is not being caused by a shortage of gas, or by Russia cutting off gas to raise its price, but by gas being sold on the spot market, which raises its cost so much that countries which didn't get enough reserves due to whatever policies they pursued - or Russophobia - now can't afford to buy gas on the spot market because it is too expensive.
A big part of why these countries now find themselves in trouble is because of the anti-Russian policies pursued by the EU, with the prodding of the US.
So certain EU-member states, through their bad judgment, short-sightedness and Russophobia, have put their people and their economic well-being in the hands of greasy, miserable energy market speculators from London and New York.
Let's not forget that it was the financial manipulators from London and NYC financial circles that conned the feckless EU into establishing this disastrous energy spot market in the first place, with the lie that it would make energy less expensive.
And now, not only is the EU and US blaming Russia for something that is entirely their fault, but the US recently had the chutzpah to demand that Russia secure EU's energy supplies.
How dare the US regime make such demands when for years it has done everything to prevent Nord Stream 2 from being built by piling up sanctions and engaging in all sorts of dirty tricks to kill this project?
How dare the US make such a demand when some years ago the US congress passed something called Securing Europe's Energy Act, with the very aim of preventing Russia from supplying reliable energy to Europe. You can't get more Orwellian than this.
If the US and its dimwitted lickspittles in the EU and certain Eastern European countries didn't malign and deliberately delay Russian energy projects, then this EU energy crunch could've very well been avoided, or at the very least much less costly.
And even now, in the midst of these high gas prices - and while still blaming Russia - these EU idiots are dragging out the Nord Stream 2 certification process, which needs to be completed before gas can be delivered through the pipeline.
How stupid can one get?
Judging by the EU's own incompetence, it seems like there is a bottomless pit of stupidity to dip into in 'ole Brussels.
And it's not like they weren't given an early chance to avid much of this supply crisis.
The head of Gazprom announced as early as September that the pipeline could be delivering gas as early as the beginning of October. But yet, the EU insisted on a drawn-out certification process.
And now the EU cries because the gas prices are so high, but at the same time refuse to correct their horrible mistakes.
This aberrant behavior in the EU and US simply doesn't make sense, and there appear to be suspect motives to their actions.
Could it be that there is a conspiracy of some sort that has been brewing for years within western circles that has to do with controlling energy supplies in Europe?
What if there is a plan to purposefully limit Russian gas to the EU and rest of Europe, in order to cause deliberate shortages so the price remains high on the spot market, which will enrich speculators and investors in the US and elsewhere?
In this context, Nord Stream 2 is a problem for them because it would dilute the price of gas and make speculation less worthwhile.
This explains the rampant Russophobia, as well as the false accusations against Russia, as this would make people more hesitant to sign gas contracts with Russian companies.
It is also possible that US vassals like Poland, Ukraine, and the Baltic statelets were promised a slice of the spot market price for gas and nice profits from the resulting high price of gas, if only Russia was prevented from ensuring adequate supplies, and this could be a reason for these countries engaging in acts that seek to prevent the completion and operation of Nord Stream 2.
But they appear to have shot themselves in the foot, as they now face gas shortages caused by their collusion with the US against Russia, and by not renewing gas supply contracts with Russia, which would assure them the best price and continuous supply.
Now these same cretins dare to blame Russia for the energy shortage, and are accusing Putin of cutting off gas supplies?
No. Putin did not cut off gas supplies to the rest of Europe. Russia is delivering gas to those countries with which it has contracts with, and it is delivering the right amount at the agreed-upon price.
How is it that Belarus, Hungary, and Turkey have no problem with Russian gas supplies, and are not facing sky-high gas prices?
The only ones which Russia is not delivering gas to are those who do not have long-term gas supply contracts signed with Russia, those who prefer to buy their gas on the spot market for more, and those who do not pay their gas supply bills, i.e. Ukraine, and now recently Moldova.
Russia is not obligated to deliver gas to anyone with which it doesn't have a contract with, and certainly not for free.
Why do some countries governments feel that they're entitle to free, or cheap below market priced Russian gas, and eternal gas transit fees? After all, didn't they want capitalism? So this is how capitalism works. You pay the going fair market price for goods and services.
If certain countries can empty their coffers, and take up loans they can't afford to buy shoddy and overpriced US military equipment they don't need, then they can certainly afford to pay fair market price for Russian gas!
There is also a strange pattern developing where some countries which have long-term gas contracts with Russia, and where suddenly a pro-US/EU/NATO shill is elected as prime minister or president, suddenly stop paying Russia for gas.
Then, when Russia complains, and warns these countries that the gas supply will be cut off if the bill is not paid, Russia is then immediately accused of playing politics with gas, and of extortion.
This is all manipulation and lies in order to prevent reliable gas supplies throughout Europe, just so some subhumans in London and Wall St. can make money off other peoples' pain.
The Russophobia and anti-Russian sanctions and other foibles are meant to serve this reptilian purpose.
For all the talk about Russia playing politics with energy supplies, the fact is that it is the Russophobes who were, and are playing politics with Russian energy supplies.
And they will in the end lose.
As always, all the misfortune that befalls the US and EU these days due to their own stupidity and ineptness that they blame on Russia, always turns out to be their own fault.
The US and EU are ruled by people who are willfully-ignorant of the outside world, and who don't care to learn and understand anything about it, especially about those they consider adversaries.
All sense, rationality and integrity has left the west, and has been transplanted to the East.
The New European is a bumbling, psychologically-ill, gender-confused syphilitic.
It is doubtful whether these people can be redeemed when looking at the way they're going.
They stumble from defeat to defeat, and from embarrassment to embarrassment, unabated, and unencumbered by their past failures and damage they cause.
When faced with failure, they double-down and engage in provocations and false accusations against an outsider who serves as a convenient scapegoat.
None of this is doing the New Europe and its US master any good.
They are both waning powers who are trying to hold on to a reality that no longer exists, and this will only guarantee them more failures and a faster decline.
There is no more victory to be had for the west.
Only realizing that they cannot have it all, and engaging with the non-western world on respectful terms will bring the west benefits.
And the west better do this soon in order to cut its losses, which are mounting higher than the price of gas.
