Trump has been busy during his first full week in office signing executive orders covering economic and foreign relations matters.
Right now, it seems like a mixed bag.
The negative side of these executive actions is that they may resurrect the Keystone XL pipeline, shale oil, and fracking projects. This doesn’t bode well for the environment at all considering all the spills and problems these projects entail.
Trump has also signed executive orders on drawing up of plans to deal with ISIS in Syria, and stopping the flow of Syrian migrants, and visitors from certain Muslim countries into the US.
Trump has also stated that he wants to create safe zones in Syria. It’s too early to see what he means by that, but one thing is certain. If he decides to resurrect his rotten predecessor’s regime change project and arming of rebels, then he has already failed.
US failures in Syria weren’t a result of flawed military strategy or lack of toughness. They had to do with the fact that US policy to overthrow the Syrian government by using fanatical proxies was wrong in the first place.
But if Trump’s definition of safe zones means something else, like cooperation with Russia, Syria, Turkey and other regional countries to counter ISIS, to protect Syrian civilians from ISIS, giving them aid, and seeking an all-inclusive negotiated agreement to end the chaos there, then he will most likely succeed.
Trump’s effort to find common ground with Russia with his telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin is a welcome sign of sanity from the US government. This was long overdue. Relations with Russia must be restored. This is in everyone’s best interest.
US and Russia are both nuclear-armed world powers. Neither one can attack the other because it will mean the total destruction of both.
If there is a quarrel between the two, other countries will end up suffering. Remember, when two elephants fight, everything under them gets trampled.
While it’s too early to see what will happen, there are signs that certain segments favored by the previous US regime are nervous.
The Ukrainian Maidanists have dug themselves in a deep hole; they type-cast themselves as a bunch of pro-EU/NATO fanatics that staked the future of the entire Ukraine, and their careers, on what EU/US/NATO want, and burned a lot of bridges with Russia in the process.
Now that things are about to change, these Banderite losers have nowhere else to turn to. If they withdraw into private life, they will very likely be squashed by the people who take over and by angry, disillusioned nationalists. The only thing protecting them from this inevitable end are their official government positions, and they will try to hold onto them by hook, crook and murder-or false flag- if need be.
Other signs of desperation abound.
The government of Kosovo has lately stirred up nonsense that Russia is trying to meddle in their elections.
Kosovo is a NATO/EU colony. No surprise they'd stir up fake news like this. It is done for mainly financial and political reasons. Being anti-Russian is seen by incompetent European politicians and their failing governments as a way to enrich themselves with US/EU hand-outs.
Spreading false accusations like these is a desperate attempt by these stale elites of ingratiating themselves with their western backers, and staying relevant.
Other European countries also seem to be worried about possible new changes. Listening to UK’s Teresa May or Germany’s Angela Merkel among others, sounds like veiled entreaties for the US to keep them in the pro-Atlanticist cage; like these countries are begging US not to let them go free, and keep them on as vassals.
These subservient European countries are locked inside their own prison of the mind.
Hopefully, Trump will realize, or has already realized that the US is not invincible, that it has serious problems, and cannot afford to dominate the world and have everything its own way. Those days are over.
The world is entering a new era where cooperation will have to take precedence over competition. In this era, no one country will get everything it wants, but will get something-without wars, regime changes and mayhem.
Trump has two choices to make: economic recovery or wars and regime change.
He can’t do both, as has been amply proven by his last two predecessors.
If Trump succumbs to the neo-con/neo-liberal interventionist script and initiates more wars and chaos, then he will drain the US economy further, and all his plans to improve the economic livelihood of US residents will become still-born.
If Trump disavows the foreign policy of plunder-for-profit, then he stands a good chance of having some of his economic plans succeed, and he will stay on for a 2nd term. But if he gets arrogant, deluded and aggressive, and miscalculates US abilities, then he will cause more pain for everyone.
What the US needs to do at this point in history is cut its losses, hold on to what it still has, and give it value by rebuilding itself by pursuing smart policies that take future consequences into consideration. In the long-run, it will save the US a lot of money and problems.
Trump needs to be business-like, diplomatic, courteous and firm. Threats and insults won’t work anymore. They didn’t for Obummer.

More About 'Fake News'
The noise about ‘fake news’ that has been stirred up by the fake accusations of Russian interference in the US presidential Election of 2016 on behalf of Donald Trump, begs further elaboration on this issue.
The US has a shameful history of peddling fake news dating back to the yellow journalism-the equivalent of 'fake news' today-of Joseph Pulitzer and William Randall Hearst in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
It was Pulitzer's newspapers that helped stir up war fever against Spain after the 1898 explosion on the ship USS Maine in the harbor of Havana, Cuba.
What was a simple explosion caused by the overheating of the gun powder storage room on the ship due to the high tropical temperature outside, was turned into an act of sabotage perpetrated by the Spanish.
This, like US wars of the future, served as a convenient excuse to declare war on Spain, and seize Spain's colonial territories, including the Philippines, where the US military committed genocidal atrocities on the Filipino population, and operated some of the world's first concentration camps.
Another instance of fake news that history seems to ignore is the so-called Holodomor-the great hunger of Ukraine of the 1930s.
Popular Ukrainian nationalist and anti-Soviet propaganda the world over, states that this starvation of millions of Ukrainians was a deliberate policy of Joseph Stalin to kill off Ukrainians, and constitutes genocide.
The facts of the situation are quite different, and far removed from the genocide propaganda. What was/is being falsely labeled ‘genocide of Ukrainians by the Soviet Union’ wasn’t at all that dramatic.
The so-called hunger was caused by a famine brought on by drought and bad agricultural policies instituted by the Soviet Union at that time. The failure of crops caused food shortages in some parts of the Ukraine, and in Southern parts of Russia as well.
For a detailed account of the Holodomor genocide myth, read the book by Douglas Tottle titled ‘Fraud, Famine and Fascism-The Ukrainian Genocide Myth from Hitler to Harvard.’
It was William Randall Hearst, who was an ardent anti-communist, who through his newspaper and money, made up the story of the ‘Holodomor.’ He sent ex-cons and other persons of ill-repute to the Soviet Union on his dime to bring back stories of mass starvation of Ukrainians by the Soviets, and had the accounts published in his paper.
But the accounts have been proven false by none other than American workers who were in the Soviet Union at that time, some in areas supposedly ravaged by starvation.
These workers were confused by these accounts. They saw no mass starvation or bodies strewn out by the roads, as was falsely reported in western press.
The entire Holodomor story was concocted, and the pictures of so-called starving and dead Ukrainian peasants turned out to be pictures dating back from WW1 in Western Europe.
This propaganda was also a desperate attempt to make the Soviet Union look bad in the eyes of Americans at a time when the US itself was being ravaged by the Great Depression.
The powers-that-be, especially the wealthy industrialists and monopolists like Hearst, were afraid that the rapid industrialization of the Soviet Union of the 1930s, and the generally better working conditions there as compared to the US, would both attract and anger the US public, who would then start thinking about a Soviet-style system on US soil.
This was a dire threat for the wealthy US industrialists. They had to do something to prevent the erosion of the ‘American way of life,’ regardless of how bad it was.
So they seized up on misfortune caused by a drought-caused famine in the Soviet Union, and turned it into a genocide against Ukrainians by the Soviet Union to scare the US public, and hopefully extinguish any thoughts of proletarian revolutions in their minds.
The Nazi government of Adolf Hitler also seized upon this myth for their own anti-Soviet propaganda reasons after they seized control of Ukraine during WW2. After the war, rabid western cold warriors used the myth to paint the Soviet Union as an absolute evil.
The current Ukrainian garbage Banderite junta still clings to the fake Holodomor atrocity propaganda story, and uses it as a rallying call against Russia.
There are surely many other instances of fake news before and after these two examples. But the power of these myths still endures.
We also have Udo Ulfkotte, the now-deceased German journalist who exposed a long-running CIA program of planting propaganda and fake news against Russia and other countries and individuals which the US ruling establishment and their European allies didn’t like, which were dutifully published by western newspapers, as another instance of fake news.
The western media remains one of the most pernicious purveyors of fake news in the world. From the USS Maine in 1898 to the Russian election hacking of 2016, western fake news still abounds, and is sure to do so in the future.

Inauguration Day
So Donald J. Trump has been inaugurated as the 45th President of the United States.
Along with his ascendancy to the highest office in the land, he carries with him a lot of promises that he made to the electorate.
His first acts were to withdraw from the TPP, which is a good move, and to renegotiate NAFTA. He also stated that the US will not impose its way of life on other countries.
Whether this promise will be adhered to we shall see, because the criminal gangster George W. Bush also pledged the same in 2001; and we all know how that turned out.
Trump has also announced the construction of an anti-missile shield against North Korea.
This move is reckless. Trump would’ve done himself, the country, and the world a much bigger favor if he tried to sit down with the North Koreans. But by opting for more confrontation, Trump shows his ignorance about the facts and history surrounding the entire North Korean issue.
Trump has filled his cabinet positions with billionaires and pro-corporate lobbyists and leaders. This will probably not bode well for the environment, health and wellness, and certain freedoms in the US. It may also not do anything good for world peace and stability.
His desire to reestablish relations with Russia is a plus, and this should be Trump’s first move. It was ridiculous and stupid for the US and EU to provoke Russia in the first place, and turn it into an artificial enemy when extremists are sneaking into European countries through wide-open back doors, and killing people on the streets.
The anti-Russian policies pursued by the former Obummer regime and their EU vassals is just plain stupid.
Trump wants to make American great again. He wants to bring back good-paying jobs, prosperity, affordable quality healthcare, and better opportunity for all.
Such goals require leadership that is competent, thoughtful, selfless, decent and with a straight moral compass.
But looking at the current crop of crap piled up on Capitol Dung Hill, and in his cabinet that Trump will have to deal with, it's at the very least seriously questionable whether the caliber of personalities required for Trump to attain his stated goals is even there.
If Trump truly wants to realize these goals, the war-mongering, blind give-aways to the Pentagoons, Wall St, corporations and millionaires, to other countries-and most importantly any and all schemes to enrich himself and his family and friends at the expense of the taxpayers-will have to stop, and cannot be allowed, period!
Trump won’t succeed, if he doesn’t end the giveaways-ASAP.
And if he doesn’t succeed, then there will be hell to pay. Not only will he be a one-termer, but a failure more colossal than Obummer.
Also, if Trump starts giving Israel whatever it wants-financially, militarily and diplomatically-then that will seal his fate as a failure. This will be a very important factor in determining his success.
So far, every president that has cow-towed to Israel has created more chaos and hatred of the US, in the Mideast and elsewhere. There is no benefit for Trump in trusting and taking any kind of advice from the rabid, lying, criminal Zionist Netanyahu and his looney entourage of true Jewish terror.
So Trump better wake up quick before he finds himself having to go through, and defend, another criminal zionist-inspired war.
Trump’s dislike of the Iranian nuclear deal is also not wise. In this regard, hopefully Trump will follow the age-old adage: If it’s working, leave it alone. And the agreement is working.
But if Trump wants to withdraw from it, he will be standing alone-except maybe with Israel by his side, which won’t amount to anything good for the US.
For all his rhetoric, Trump needs to realize some things, and remain rational, pragmatic, and humble.
No nation can be on top indefinitely. A nation will have to resort to underhanded and illegal methods to keep itself in such a position on a permanent basis. It will also have to keep others down, friend and foe.
Attempting to artificially keep oneself on top beyond one’s time, ability, and merit won’t work in the long-run. Pursuing this aim through force will only make the inevitable fall harder and more disastrous. This is what the US is witnessing right now: its long-delayed fall.
Trump won't be able to reverse this fall, only slow it down and maybe cushion the landing.
But this is just a part of the normal life-cycle of nations: they are born, prosper, become great, get complacent, decline and fall.
I have seen five presidents get elected, and each one left the country in worse shape than it was in.
I’m to the rear of cautiously optimistic when it comes to the Trump Presidency.
But in the interest of fairness, Trump should be given some time to do his job. Anyone protesting his election and inauguration needs to calm down, sit back and watch. If he f’s up, then protest all you want.
Personally, I doubt whether Trump will deliver on his promises, and won’t cause worse problems.
I hope I’m wrong, but only time will tell.

A Whole Lotta Nothing!
The Obama regime and its cohorts have released the awaited report that was supposed to prove once and for all that the Russian government and Russian news organizations sought to deliberately interfere in the US presidential election of 2016, and manipulate public opinion in favor of Donald Trump and against Hillary Clinton.
But with no credible evidence to back up any of these accusations, along with a big disclaimer that basically said that the information within the report cannot be verified as credible, this work of anti-Russian political fiction was heavy on hype but light on substance.
Not only was Russia accused of ‘hacking’ the voting machines-a charge recently withdrawn-but Russian media organizations such as RT, Sputnik and others, are accused of engaging in propaganda and ‘fake news’ that criticizes and discredits the US and its policies.
If news articles that criticize another country's policies and actions are an illegal attempt at interfering in that country's internal affairs and elections, then pretty much every news outlet in the world is guilty!
If this is illegal, then it is Russia itself that has a way stronger case against US interference and meddling in its affairs and elections. I suspect that the amount of such acts perpetrated by the US, and sheer volume of supporting data would be so huge, that Russia would probably need a new government agency staffed with thousands of workers working round-the-clock for years to compile it all.
The report then cites as evidence various past stories published on Russian English-language news sites about US voting irregularities, civil rights issues, economic troubles, bad consequences of US policies and wars-like rising suicide rates within the US military-and other important issues which are important and factual, and were also reported by other domestic and international news organizations.
But this ridiculous report goes even farther back to demonstrate Russian perfidy by quoting election stories from 4-8 years ago!
Stories that covered Obama’s 2008 and 2012 campaigns, as well as Mitt Romney’s have been dredged up as examples of ‘Russian interference.’
So what about all the deliberate negative press, ‘fake news,’ and insults against Trump, and constant fawning praise of Hillary Clinton, by the US and other western media during the election? Wasn’t that biased? Wasn’t that an attempt to interfere in, and manipulate the 2016 presidential election?
Why isn’t CNN, The NY Times, Washington Post and other US MSM darlings also not condemned in this report for peddling biased news aimed at influencing the public? Why isn't the Washington Post being reprimanded for publishing the fake news story that Russians hacked the electric grid in Vermont using a virus to infect a laptop? Why isn’t anyone demanding that these news outfits be investigated?
Let’s not forget that the US remains one of the worst offenders when it comes to interfering in, and manipulating foreign elections-sometimes in the most violent and despicable ways imaginable. The US has been doing this for decades the world over! This is not some anti-American conspiracy theory, or even a secret at this point in history; the evidence is out there for everyone to read.
Also, what about the Kiev regime’s attempts to interfere in the US presidential elections of 2016 when Poroshenko and his cohorts made noise about one of Trump’s advisors, Paul Manafort, who had business dealings in Russia, by suggesting that he was Putin’s agent? This was done deliberately by Ukraine, a foreign country, to smear Trump and damage him in the polls, which it did briefly.
So why isn’t the Ukrainian regime being condemned and investigated for interference in the US presidential election? There’s certainly much more evidence of this than of any Russian interference.
Also, why aren’t all those world leaders, especially in the EU, being condemned for interfering in the 2016 US presidential election after some of them directly and openly spoke of their preference for Hillary Clinton, and their dislike of Trump? Some even issued lukewarm insults.
It is the majority of the western media and the US government that have to look themselves in the mirror. When compared to Russian news site articles, the western media was much more biased in the use of its power to manipulate the elections in favor of Hillary Clinton. Why isn't this being condemned and investigated?
Let’s face it: these false accusations against Russian interference in the US elections have been a farce since day one. They were made by a bunch of whiny, sore losers.
These accusations started as a desperate, reckless, dishonest and ill-thought out strategy by the Clinton campaign to distract the public from the illegal and corrupt dealings between her campaign and the DNC revealed by the leaked John Podesta emails.
Trump’s victory temporarily shocked the Clintons, Obama and their agents within the government, and for 2-3 weeks following the election, the public didn’t hear anything about these accusations.
Then, after the initial shock of Trump’s victory went away, the anger and resentment of the Clintons, Obamas and their establishment allies set it, and they resurrected these absurd accusations, with a vengeance.
This was done to publicly insult and punish Trump for winning. It was a veiled attempt by the Russophobes within the US establishment at suggesting to Trump that he won because of Russian help, to gang up on him, and force him to toe their policy line which has financially enriched so many miserable, evil bastards, especially those in congress like Lindsey (Lousy) Graham and John (Insane) McCain.
Fortunately, Trump was not convinced by this report and has announced that there was no hacking that influenced the election.
The accusations against the Russian media are basically part of the US regime’s information warfare, and attempts at limiting press freedoms inside the US, and in vassal countries in the future.
Julian Assange of Wikileaks, which published the damaging Podesta emails said himself, on record, that the source of this information was not foreign and that the person didn't work for a foreign source.
There was no shortage of people within the US without any ties to Russia, Putin or anyone else, who were upset and disgusted with Hillary Clinton and her corrupt dealings. It is those people who exposed this damaging data. And hats off to them all!
This entire Russian hacking saga stems from the US regime’s anger and frustration at having their propaganda undermined by foreign media with facts and criticism.
Anyone who buys these Russian election hacking and cyber attack accusations is dumber than they look.
But with no credible evidence to back up any of these accusations, along with a big disclaimer that basically said that the information within the report cannot be verified as credible, this work of anti-Russian political fiction was heavy on hype but light on substance.

EU's Twilight
It’s clear by now that the European Union is a failed experiment. From bankrupting Greece to meddling in Ukraine, the EU has caused serious damage to a number of countries and to itself as an institution.
It seems like joining the EU is more of a liability than a benefit these days and things will just get worse for its members from now on.
One of the main reasons why the EU is failing is because it has tethered itself to the US. It takes US orders and dictates, no matter how destructive they are to the union as a whole.
Too many of the EU’s bureaucrats are staunch supporters of the Atlanticist consensus. This inevitably requires the EU as a whole to put US interests ahead of its own more often than not.
Mainstream western propaganda states that the EU clings to the US because it 'benefits' them. This is doubtful by simply looking at the losses the EU has been suffering.
Also, there can be no doubt that based on the EU’s strong pro-US sentiments and dependence on US military power, that many of the EU's functionaries, even in top posts, are US agents in the pay of the CIA and other US-based clandestine services.
The only other reason for this subservient attitude is that the EU elites are collectively stupid; because only a total idiot would take such retarded, absurd and self-destructive decisions as the EU has in the past 3-4 years.
Why is there no effort to root these US-paid agents out? Clearly such personalities will do everything that benefits the US first and foremost since they are getting paid for it. With each passing day, these US agents cause damage to their own countries, not to mention that they’re putting all member-states in danger.
In the long-term, EU membership is a hindrance. Just look at the damage EU membership caused for Greece. It definitely doesn't inspire confidence in the EU block.
The EU is a project that was originally designed to enrich Germany at the expense of everyone else, with France as a tag-along that would benefit. Every other member country is just a cow to be milked. But as with every 'club,' there's always a membership fee that has to be paid. It's never free.
The whole Brexit saga is also being deliberately drawn out and complicated in order to create the maximum mayhem and damage, and to turn people off to it altogether. These EU-crats and their rotten allies in the UK are creating so much uncertainty, pressure and fear in the minds of the British public with the hope that people will break down and demand that the UK stay in the EU, after all. Article 50 must be invoked ASAP, so that this torture is ended.
The problem with the UK is not that it is leaving the EU. The problem is that it joined the EU in the first place.
Faced with failures and problems of its own making, the EU has fallen back on blaming Russia and Putin for its ills, just like Obummer has in the last few months with the false Russian cyber-attack and election hacking garbage.
The US and EU are immature entities. They blame their lack of judgment and failed policies on Russia and Putin. By refusing to take responsibility for their mistakes, they will only meander from one catastrophe to the next. What do they expect? That Putin will come out and say "I'll take the fall for US and EU's bad decisions"? That's not going to happen!
Maybe if-and that’s a big if-the EU disconnected itself from US control and had the courage to follow its own best interests and policies, then it could be successful.
But underneath it all, the EU, like NATO and every other western-created organization, is reliant on continued US power and world hegemony in all spheres for its survival.
And that is why without continued US power, all of these organizations will collapse. They cannot, and will not survive independently, outside of US control.
It is this reason why the US and their agents in governments and institutions worldwide fear and hate everyone and everything that challenges their authority and undermines their power. It is why Russia, Iran, Syria and any nation that resists US domination and criminal aggression is smeared, demonized, sanctioned, terrorized-by-proxy, attacked, and sometimes destroyed.
The US and all the entities it created for its own abuse and enrichment are part of a closed loop, and feed off of each other. The US gives these entities legitimacy and authority with its backing, and these entities give the US wealth and control over everyone and everything else.
Take any of these players out of the loop, and the other falls.
The EU's days as the premiere economic bloc are coming to an end.
With the advent of the EEU and the Chinese Silk Road project, the EU will soon be a shadow of its former self, and will be playing second or third fiddle to greater economic powers in the East. That day is coming, and it would be wise for those countries that have not yet joined the EU to hold-off and wait for a better deal somewhere else.
